Happy New Year... or IS it? Satire pokes fun at the truth with not-truth, but is worth it's time in Bitcoin.

20.05 years ago, there was a panic across the land. There's a bug in all computers, or Windows computers at least, and the world is gonna blow up.

That was the concern. Crazy as it sounds, it was a real concern. The entire OS was not designed to go to the next decimal in how it handled counting schemes, math, 16 bit operations and more. No one, including Bill Gates, had any clue what might actually happen when that last time frame rolled around.

So, with the brilliance to make GUI and Free Cell, it never occurred to anyone that it might require more than 2 digits to signify the year, or century, or millennium. Uh... can you say millenni-dum? But, even more so, it wasn't just OS, it was hardware, it was programs built on top of hardware that do important things like, provide navigation systems for airplanes, booking for hotels and processing credit cards.

People bought hundreds of dollars worth of dummy card slots for their crappy slow computers to test whether it would still work after a potential Y2K-atastrophe. If the problem was in their bios, they could fix it with a flash that made 4 digits instead of 2.

Ironically, many people had problems from adding units to their time stamp, but there were no actual issues with the initial worry; them 2 digits.

Until NOW that is!

It seems that the real grievance was not with only having 2 digits to represent years, but rather computers just really dislike the number 2 in general! So, here we are in 2020, and hindsight isn't. The Y2K bug is real, and it just happened 3 days ago. Why isn't anyone reporting on this??? Oh yeah, right, because it's satire.

But, what if it were true? Planes would fall from the sky. Bitcoin would be worth 2 digits more (or not) and there would be mass pandemonium in the streets. Looting, extended after-Christmas sales, and general mayhem. People would be shooting Amazon drones out of the sky, Satoshi would come out of hiding, and what's more, all of our computers would work fine. What would we do???

Wait, if none of this IS true, then why am I thinking about it? What if the Mandela effect is true, too? Then, this could really be happening. You Don't Know! That should be enough to unnerve ANYONE! So, get worried already wouldja?

Nah, because it's the new year, 2020, and who can complain about the year of perfect vision? As long as it ain't Satoshi's Vision, 'cuz that coin is wack, yo!

Happy New Year, everybody, and let's hope the only scare for this year is just how frighteningly BIG crypto is!
