Battle proven: Tezos' main-net 2 year anniversary

Tezos has launched 2 years ago today and has been running without any serious hiccups for the full run so far. I've been following the project for about 1.5 years now and started writing about Tezos developments and fundamentals since August last year. The ecosystem numbers start to look good and lively. Tezos' latest Hackathon had over 1,000 registered developers. Tezos smartcontract adoption growth starts to look good with 26 mill XTZ held in smartcontracts at this point. Further growth also shows impressive numnbers: active staking growth to over 50,000 active delegators divided over 421 active bakers.

Tezos has some unique and revolutionary fundamental features:

- On-chain governance (Solved consensus problem in decentralized systems -> swift evolution and no harmful forks.)
- Decentralized PoS. (Liquid PoS, not to be confused with DPoS.)
- Formal verification of smart contracts. Crucial in mission critical settings like high value contracts.
- Multiple smart contract languages.
- The Tezos foundation has enough funds to keep funding the ecosystem for the next 25 - 50 years. ( $ 500 mill + holdings)
