Theta EdgeCloud Launches Agentic AI with RAG Chatbot Release
Before we jump into what Theta just launched I felt it prudent to discuss a few AI terms to ensure we are all on the same page. The assumption is everyone here understands at a basic level GenAI, if not use the hyperlink and do some research and come back and finish this blog.
New AI Terms to help understand this blog
Agentic AI - agentic AI, which uses sophisticated reasoning and iterative planning to autonomously solve complex, multi-step problems without human intervention or input.
RAG - Retrieval Augmented Generation is the process of optimizing the output of a large language model, so it references an authoritative knowledge base.
What did Theta just unleash?
Last week Theta unleashed their Agentic AI on Theta EdgeCloud: RAG Chatbot Release. Which is designed to empower business users cutting-edge AI. This will be performed via continuous updates to Chatbot Knowledge base (KB), ensure data is always current and more importantly relevant! These frequent changes are designed to bring more value to business applications.
Las Vegas Knights to utilize Theta Agentic AI
Why would a professional sports team be interested in a RAG based Chatbot? Think about how much it costs to sell tickets? To ensure, no ticket is sold twice for any event. Think about how many times a day and agent must answer the same set of questions over and over? What IF instead of staffing a call center 24/7 full of people they could automate this even by 1/3 how would that impact the business bottom line for tickets? Now what IF the Knights expanded the Chatbot to handle all sorts of requests on their website. Some examples, what happened at the Knights’ latest game?”, “What does the Knights schedule look like this week?” or even the random question “How does the NHL salary cap work?”
Theta RAG Chatbot only uses known valid sources for information so it won't hand out misinformation and thus prevent AI hallucinations.

Summary
Theta has locked up Southeast Asia in terms of top universities and eLearning offering firms as they are signed up to exploit Theta's GPU offerings to improve healthcare and education. Now they have offered RAG Chatbot services for Enterprise applications to leverage and bring cost savings across the enterprise. Wonder how long it will take enterprises to realize the value available today from Theta?
