Theta EdgeCloud Release Inbound
I am really excited about all the changes inbound from Theta, this is not a Mainnet level release, however, there are still a large amount of changes that happened earlier this week and will come next month, with that let's jump in.
EdgeCloud is being rolled out in two phases:
- The first phase release took place on May 1st, which brought about GenAI (generative AI) as well as support for Jupyter Notebooks, large language models (LLMs) like Stable Diffusion, Llama 2, Mistral and many others. Also included is support for open-source AI models for your out of the box experience, as well as abilities to deploy their own custom models. Last but not least, for the May 1st release included the Developers suite release.
- Yes ,this release also brings the ability to render 3D jobs which are a huge task for a distributed network. Theta’s decentralized edge network will support any (.blend) file for rendering complex characters, scenes and animation with full CUDA support on Windows OS,
- Next up, we have the full Edge Cloud Launch on June 26th. Which brings us another new Edge Node Client which will unleash more great features and functionality. Are you ready for Theta to take it to the next level?
As I mentioned this spring, Elite Edge Node were coming.
- Now, we have details and well unless you have at least 500K TFUEL you can't participate in the Elite level. Don't worry I am down the lower rungs on the ladder so I am not bragging about the Elite Edge Nodes by any means.
- Staking min is 3 months then it moves to 6 months and then 12 months timeframes. The rewards go up by 25% for 6 & 12-month lock-in. Staking can be mixed and matched over the duration. IF I could participate I would build out a staking ladder to ensure I was getting as many maximizers as possible.
