KAIST AI To Use Theta EdgeCloud, Accelerate AI Model Training as First Academia Customer
Who is KAIST?
KAIST is the Korean equivalent for MIT in the USA. In May ,of this year signed a multi-year contract with Theta for use of their EdgeCloud. This agreement allows KAIST use of Theta AI resources, such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision.
Key Theta Resource
Theta's fine tuned stable diffusion model known as StableVITON is essential for KAIST to superimpose clothes onto models with extreme accuracy. Tailoring AI to their specific needs aids KAIST in leveraging EdgeCloud for quicker time to market and being more nimble to rapidly developing fads.

What's up next for KAIST & Theta?
KAIST and Theta are hard at work further refining the offering to allow smaller objects such as Hat's to be placed upon models heads. Currently these fine grained items are placing heavy burden on modern GPU's. Look for model revisions and perhaps other tech tweaks to make this work in short order.
