Theta EdgeCloud Adds Image-to-Image Art Transfer and Editing

Theta unveiled Image-to-Image Art Transfer and Editing.

I believe this is the last of the EdgeCloud announcements from the development team at Theta.  They unleashed Image-to-Image edit capabilities as well as background removal, image upscaling.  Additionally they support Art style transfer as well as object removal.

Let's dive deeper into these editing tools:

• Background removal - uses computer vision techniques to detect and separate the main image from its background. One would assume this would take a long period of time, however, Theta is able to instantly complete this task.  Which is still faster than manual conversions
• Image upscaling sharpen and define lower resolution images via algorithms. Which use prediction based on their analysis of large image sets.
• Art style transfer  content image and a style reference image are moved or combined image in the style of the second. 
• Object erasing - the best way to describe this is Pixel phone erasing someone from your photo.  This is done via algorithms to segment an image into distinct regions for each object and background. It is a difficult task of filling in the missing pixels ) performing complex calculations and pattern recognition, taking into account lighting, perspective, and depth. You get the picture lots of work in the background to make this happen.
• In painting works in similar ways to object removal, by segmenting and inserting new objects into a given area of an image.
