The time has come to discover a new element of the Periodic Table and to participate in a new NFT giveaway of the collection.

Praseodymium is the chemical element with atomic number 59 and its symbol is Pr.
It is a soft silver metal belonging to the lanthanide group.
Exposed to air, it undergoes oxidation and is covered with a green oxide patina that protects it from further corrosion. This process, called passivation, makes it somewhat more resistant to corrosion than the europium, lanthanum, cerium and neodymium analogues.
It is generally stored in airtight containers or immersed in mineral oil.
The name praseodymium comes from the Greek prasios, green and didymos, twin.
Praseodymium is found in the rare earth minerals monazite and bastnasite, and can be recovered from these by an ion exchange process. Praseodymium also makes up about 5% of the mischmetal.
Uses of praseodymium:
- As a binding agent of magnesium to create high strength alloys used in aircraft engines.
- Praseodymium forms the core of arc lights used in the film industry for stage lighting and projector lamps.
- Praseodymium compounds are used to give glass and enamels a light green color.
- Praseodymium is a component of didymium glass, which is used in some types of glasses for welders and glass blowers.
- As a component in rare earth / cobalt alloys for permanent magnets in brushless electric motors.

The Periodic Table NFT project aims to raise awareness of chemical elements in a modern key, basing the approach on blockchain and Non Fungible Token.
Day after day it will be possible to know the single elements that make up the table, to collect curiosities about each of them and about the table in general.
We are working to be able to learn, in a playful way, also what happens by combining the various elements.
