Charles Hoskinson is the CEO and co-founder of Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), one of the three entities behind the development of cryptocurrency project Cardano (ADA), of which he is also the founder. Hoskinson is also a co-founder of Ethereum, and was CEO from 2013 to 2014.
Hoskinson has extensive experience in the cryptocurrency space, both as a developer and as an entrepreneur. This experiences founding Invictus Innovations, establishing the Cryptocurrency Research Group, being the founding chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation’s Education Committee and a director of the Bitcoin Education Project. He has served as the latter since 2013.
Cardano, although it still undergoing development and working steadily towards releasing a fully fleshed out version of its third generation blockchain, has a lot of support and conviction backing it, with many investors believing that the network has the potential to function as a viable network well into the future because of its strong design and technical principles.
Hoskinson is also well known in the cryptocommunity as being very communicative about the project's development, often conducting AMAs on Reddit and posting video updates on YouTube. His forthright comments and descriptions of the state of the market and the ADA project has received praise.
