Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shocked everyone by announcing that he does not take all of his ETH due to the risks involved.

STAKING PROBLEM

     When staking ETH, the keys to access it become public on the online subsystem, and multisig is necessary for security. Vitalik Buterin believes that multisig is too complicated and difficult to set up. Sriram Kannan, founder of retaking platform Eigenlayer, has also admitted the complexity and risk of retaking.

VITALIK IRKS COMPETITION

     The criticism of Vitalik is going on; ETH competitors have an excuse to claim their developed token is better. For example, Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson has claimed that staking only needs a properly designed PoS protocol and that all his ADA are staked. I was thinking of replacing Ethereum with ADA for passive income, but this is not advice.

STAKING REQUIRED

     PoS was created because of the limitations of bitcoin: no one benefits by only HODLing; it also needs to be spent in order to receive goods or services. It is also the simplest means of passive income, which is best for the retired, disabled, unemployed, and single parents. However, after Vitalik's claim, there is a need for thoughtful development.
