The MLB season is ending: we are at the World Series where the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies are facing each other. The Astros beat the Yankees 4-0, while Philadelphia beat San Diego 4-1. The beauty of American sports is that their season lasts all year round. MLB is a summer sport that runs from April to November. The NFL and NBA also start in October. Following the NHL. When these leagues end (the NFL has a very short season), the MLB starts again in April. Americans have sports all year round.

HOW DID MY SEASON ON SORARE MLB END?
I ended the season well, winning a lot of valuable cards. Certainly the most valuable card I have won is Carroll's "super rare" (Arizona Diamondbacks). He is a 22-year-old prospect who has already made his MLB debut. I had some interesting offers for him: about $ 514 + two "limited" cards, but I decided not to sell it! I think next year he can reach over 1 ETH in value if he is in the starting lineup in Arizona!
My "super rare" roster has expanded a lot, I have managed to win several cards with a low investment, compared to many people who are competing with enormously higher budgets. I participate in almost all leagues: common, limited all star, limited pro, rare all star, rare pro and super rare. Clearly Sorare is for all budgets. The limited leagues allow you to play and win cards with a very paltry investment of a few tens of dollars. With rare investments it is higher. However Sorare is not stingy with prizes and it is possible to win cards and try to sell them if we don't need them. Many people just speculate on cards: they win auctions (below the floor price when there are few people) and then sell them immediately afterwards. A good strategy, however I am on Sorare MLB because I enjoy playing, winning cards and having a stronger and stronger roster! In the picture below where you see the "cup" symbol they are NFT won!
When my roster is strong enough, I will start selling each day's rewards. If the roster is very strong, you can win prizes every 3 days and then sell them. If, on the other hand, you don't have a strong and long roster, you win some cards, you make money in the short term but you earn less.
I won:
17 "limited" cards (supply max: 5000)
19 "rare" cards (supply max: 1000)
4 "super rare" cards (supply max: 100)

NBA ON SORARE
As I said at the beginning, the MLB season is ending so Sorare bought the NBA basketball license as well. NBA is already a thriving market in the crypto world because the NBA Top Shot project has had great success on the Flow blockchain. Basically Top Shot is just card trading. Instead Sorare NBA I consider it better because:
1) You can trade cards (like NBA Top Shot)
2) You can also win cards every 3 days (GW) by participating in various tournaments. If they follow the strategies adopted for Sorare Football, they could also insert prizes in ETH (for the best classified or the "thresholds". By thresholds we mean that you reach a certain score and you are rewarded in ETH).
Sorare NBA is the evolution of NBA Top Shot. It should be noted, however, that Top Shots are match action videos, while on Sorare I can buy "static" NFT (like stickers). If you play Sorare you already know how it works. You can buy players with ETH by connecting your Metamask (Sorare uses layer 2 Starkware so there is no fee when bidding, buying / selling a player). Players are auctioned and given to the user who sets the highest bid when the timer expires. If the highest bid is $ 7 (example), if you put in $ 7.10 and the timer expires that player becomes yours. You can check each player's average sales value at SorareData simply by searching for the player you are interested in. If the average is $ 7.50, you need to consider whether to go beyond this threshold. What can the price increase depend on? Certainly from the player's performance. If that player's auction exceeds the budget you've set for him, stop! You can try to buy it in a subsequent auction! Once you have bought the players, you can start participating in tournaments where you can win more cards. The better your position, the higher the value of the cards you will win. All the cards you buy or win you can sell them in the "secondary market" by setting the price you want!
I started deploying my free cards to try and win some "limited" cards. Upon Sorare Registration (without investment) you immediately receive 20 free cards, I had to choose between Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. It wasn't easy. The two are also the same age (34 years). I chose Curry because Durant is more prone to injuries! Free cards should not be underestimated because they allow you to compete in leagues that can lead you to win "limited" cards that can be sold on the market. I remind you that by registering and winning 5 "limited" auctions, you will receive a "limited" one for free (you can choose whether to receive a football, MLB or NBA card). I am not quite sure which strategy to use yet.
The priority remains the MLB, however I could decide to make a small investment also on the NBA to try to compete at least in the "limited" leagues. There will probably also be an airdrop for users who have used Sorare and Immutable X (Gods Unchained) because the team has announced that Starkware (layer 2 using Sorare) will have its own token! The airdrop has not been confirmed but there is about 9% of supply that will probably be given to the community (early 2023).
