IBM adds quantum software kit Qiskit across the entire technology stack
Qiskit is the worlds most popular Quantum software, originally released in 2017 it has continued to be modernized for more and more utility computing models. IBM just changed their Quantum strategy and is deploying Qiskit across the entire tech stack, transforming classical computing models to quantum models.
What makes Qiskit the most popular?
Currently they have over 600K users and they have designed over $3Billion (yes with a B) quantum circuits thus far. The latest SDK from Qiskit decreases required memory by 3x providing maturity to their offerings making it a great time for IBM to bring them into Enterprise customers.
Why is this important you ask?
IBM will cover the entire software development stack and better equip developers with the ability to build practical solutions for quantum processors for research and enterprise applications (AKA Utility computing)
The advent of utility scale capabilities, an era in which quantum processors exceed the processing speed and power of classical computing simulating quantum computers. Utility-scale quantum systems will usher in the quantum age.
Summary
Quantum computing is growing by leaps and bounds with classical computing models and designs onboarding quantum tactics.
