China opens access to its Quantum Computer - Jan. 19 '24

As of Jan 15th this computer had already completed 33,871 computing tasks. While the US lead job submissions to test it out their Chinese competitor Quantum computer. 

What is it? This Chinese Quantum computer is 74-qubit. Hands down beating the closest US competitor.

 

Quantum Startup hopes to beat IBM to error correction - Jan. 09 '24

Quantum startup Quera a spinoff of the Harvard University lab achieved a milestone in identification and managing using hardware.

For those keeping track Quera using similar qubit type as Atom Computing. That said, qubits in current design as flawed and prone to errors.

Baidu Exited Quantum space - Jan 5 '24

China’s e-commerce giant and services provider Baidu, exited the quantum computing development arena in early Jan. '24. And kindly donated all of their quantum equipment to the Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences (BAQIS).

 

Summary

Quantum computers continue to take shape with advancements in error correction and total qubits in each quantum computer. I will continue to seek out and report back on new Quantum advancements.
