Germany demonstrated quantum entanglement over distance & other Quantum updates
Seems every couple of weeks this year we get more exciting technology updates about Quantum Computing:
Germany demonstrated quantum entanglement of two atoms separated by 33 km (20.5 miles) of fiber optics
Recall this year that Netherlands - QuTech's demonstrated quantum entanglement over Fiber optics. Germany now has the greatest distance for 2 two atoms. The key to this announcement is the two atoms functioned together for the entire distance of 33 km. A new milestone.
NVIDA Announced QODA Yes, the GPU king of the hill is jumping into the Quantum realm. By releasing a platform for Hybrid Quantum Apps. NVIDA knows that you have to bring customers value and you do that via developing applications to bring in the users.
- QODA will bring consistency programming model and libraries
- Additionally, QODA is open and QPC-agnostic,
- QODA will remain in BETA testing thru Year End '22
- NVIDA also released to Open Source Community which is in essence a compiler (NVQ++)
Perpetual Crystals - Just might be able to make the mythical perpetual motion theory come to reality
Researchers formed an international team to tackle the issue. they are from:
- Aalto University
- Lancaster University
- Landau Institute
- Royal Holloway London,
What did they accomplish? The team created a 2-state system using Time crystals.
What do we know about Time crystals?
- Time crystals repeat in both time and space
- Time crystals can be created at room temperature
- Time crystals are import to prevent Quantum computers from 'decohering'
What we don't know - how long before Time crystals can be utilized in Quantum Computing reliably.
I have written five (5) articles already this year in/around Quantum Computing they are here if you missed them:

Summary - Lots of independent successes in the entire Quantum Computing realm this time bringing in developers. Can't wait to see when these independent labs start working collectively over distances regularly. Perhaps this takes place in quantum realm in the next 2-3 years.
