I live to love BAT, and love to live to ride for BAT. I'm thinking maybe a BAT tattoo and I don't have any tats, only scars. If you feel that too, then counterintuitively you should drop BAT like it's HOTTTT every chance you get.
I mean I really do love BAT, it hurts to let every token go. We even imagine Vitalik Buterin likes BAT, though I can't find that anywhere, but it is all ETH under the covers so Vitalik must love BAT too!! Next time we steal billions in a Korean Ponzi scheme and run to a tropical isle with Ylang Ylang, bet yer GD ass I will be wearing these
So why will we no longer HODL BAT? BAT is great, cool, fun, disruptive. I love how BAT is teaming up with Duck Duck Google, er Feck Feck Go, whatever to give a massive flying moon to Google and win billions in clickbait revenue streams, while giving some of that Google monopoly money back to the people. This blockchain is awesome, a dream come true against our tech overlords. Morally, ethically, BAT and BRAVE are the bomb. And all the other research fundamentals are strong - great team, releases, channel marketing, swag store :) all rocking steady, execs look good. We admit we had a tiff when BRAVE wouldn't pay in Europe, but it started working, still lameish but in there fighting for the future!
So why should you dump BATS like radioactive waste in a salt mine?
Because if you are reading this, you are stacking BATs, you live in the industry. And the smart money on Wall Street diversifies jobs vs. investments. Tuff Darts, pal. We all learned the hard way over the last half century - employees would get steady streams of their own companies stock - in bonuses, grants, in their 401ks, in profit sharing. People would build up a ton of stock of the company they worked for. And sometimes those companies messed up, or faded out, or had corporate raiders strip their bones ( the pension fund was just sitting there!!!) RESULT: no job AND no savings/pension/401K.
This is a basic "trading floor tan" issue: everyone working on a trading floor knew. When the entire company was allowed to buy stock at a 20% discount, but had to hold it six months, everyone with a brain would buy the max allowed and then dump it at six months and a day. Defeating the purpose of the program with gusto.
Seriously. If your income stream is in BAT, dump BAT on the regular. Bombs away, BATs!!!
Still not listening are we!!??!! ok, look at it from a toxic bitcoin maximalist point of view ( warning - stunningly unpopular article ) https://www.publish0x.com/hi-i-am-dave-and-i-just-got-hooked-on-crypto/calling-out-to-toxic-bitcoin-maximalists-xrmlvd
For our current analysis, started earning BATS in 2020. Let's go to the charts kids, love ya CoinGecko! Here's Bitcoin over the last two months versus BATs

It's the first of March. Igor coughs up some BATs (with the gas all paid, so very cool.) If we had sold the BATS and bought BTC , we would be riding around 9000, crash down to around 5000, then by Mayday back up to around 9000.
If we stayed in love with those gleaming BAT tokens, so cute, earned by the sweat of our own keyboard, we would be in at around 23 cents per BAT. Then crash down to 11 cents, and ride back to around 18 cents. Compared to BTC, the BATS crashed harder (OVER 50%) and recovered less.
Of course, that relative price action has made many a trader pretty rich fairly safely. But as a HODLer, not good. Sell them BATS and buy BTC.
That said, this is NOT financial advice as my registered rep (RR) is not hung up right now. And you can play with dates and data to fit models backwards, though I swear I did not. As a show of good faith, if you start Jan 1st, 2020 and run up to the pre corona peak of Saint Valentines day (just think, all those overpriced Saint Valentine's day restaurant specials served by surly staff were the last gasp of civilization as we knew it) and compare BAT to BTC, BAT looks pretty sweet, going from around 20 cents to 30 cents Feb 14th, while Bitcoin moved from only around 7.2K to 10.2K, BATS blew BTC away. So forget the second point of this article if you like but just don't HODL where you work, OK ?
Cypherpunks we love you!!! Dave
