Splinterlands | Water Elemenal Challenge

This week a beta set card from the Earth Summoner is highlighted in the Share Your Battle Challenge. This is the StoneSpitter Orc!

I tend to have a special liking to cards I used with when first starting to play Splinterlands and the Water Elemental certainly is one of those. It is a very good all-round card for in the backline that can be used with many game rules. For a 5 mana cost, you get big ranged damage, very fast speed, self-heal and dodge to possibly counter sneak attacks. Last season based on my overall Splinterstats Report Card it was a card that showed to have a 90% win-rate on 22 matches.

Since it's a rare card, it can be used with game rules that don't allow Legendary and Epic cards. Since it can self-heal it is also suited to play with earthquake game rules. I played the Daria Dragonscale Dragon Summoner which always helps to give extra options for monsters with the fly ability starting with the Gloridax Soldier followed by the high health Captain Ghost and the high Damage Sand Worm, the Sea Genie offered Fly to prevent taking damage at the end of each round. The Water Elemental in a safe 2nd the last position with self-heal was likely to survive and the Cyclops with Shield ability only takes reduced damage which comes in handy.

It was an easy win and have kind of gotten desensitized playing against weaker or stronger opponents by now. On my alt account these days, I mainly just complete the daily quests within minutes each day and on my main account, I need to avoid making mistakes winning most matches to rank inside the top 30 on rare occasions getting faced with opponents that are just way stronger.

Important: Treat games in the first place as games and not as investment opportunities, Splinterlands allows you to earn some money and get good returns but you are much better off flipping burgers in Mcdonalds when looking at the money earned for the time invested.
