Lots of wallet, text asking how many wallets are enough?

Why do crypto wallets work the way they do?

I have not been a part of the crypto space for more than a few months at this time. But so far I have signed up and opened more than a handful of different wallets. Some are way more useful than others. But why have I done that? Let us talk about it.

Most crypto wallets

The way I have learned about crypto wallets is mainly by using them. And that has meant I have done my share of back and forth because I have not understood the minutia of things. And I have had my fair share of crypto turn up in the places I did not want them. And if you learn like me, I bet you have had one or two, of those events let's call them, happen to you as well. =)

So the way I have understood most wallets to work is that they are tied to a Blockchain. Meaning they basically only work with tokens that are on that chain. Either the main token or the tokens created by smart contracts. Or tokens that have been moved onto the chain via a bridge.

But of course, there are at least some exceptions. Most CEXes have a wallet and they usually let you have tokens from more than one chain showing in the same wallet. And then there is good old MetaMask. Probably my favorite among all the wallets. Simply because it lets you have the same wallet for most of the Blockchains. So you easily can switch back and forth between them.

That is how they work, but this is how I want them to work

As I am not that tech-savvy, I can't see why there can be one crypto wallet where you can keep all your coins and tokens. Sort of a MetaMask, but one where you do not have to switch between the Blockchains all the time. I also have an account on Binance. And they let me do this. When I have BNB on Binance it is just BNB. It only becomes specific BNB when I move it from Binance.

And this is where some of my learning transactions have occurred. ^^ Took me some time to figure out that different networks meant the crypto showed up in different places. And the whole wallet addresses still to this day can puzzle me.

But if Binanec can do it, why cant another normal wallet also do it? What is it that makes a place like Binance so magic? Is it simply because they have such a large quantity of crypto at their disposal. That they do not need to limit their customer to where theirs are? And I assume it is this feature that lets the scammers "wash" the crypto as well. Or is that some other functionality of CEXes that allows for the washing?

Even if that is the case. I cant see why not some smarter person can figure out how to do this. I mean MetaMask figured out how to allow people to use one wallet for multiple Blockchains. So why is this so much harder?

I have the solution, sort of at least. Well maybe just the first piece of the puzzle

As I said before. Not ht most tech-savvy person there is. But I do have something that not many have. At least according to my friends. And that is a mind that is not like anyone else's. I am still not sure if they mean that as a compliment or not... But let us move on.

While I might not have the technical solution I do have a name for sed wallet. And that...  *drum roll please*  is the Quantum Wallet. That or Schrödinger´s Wallet. The idea is the same. It harkens back to quantum mechanics. And the fact that a particle inhabits all states, or in this case Blockchains, at the same time. And it is only when you look at, or transfer the tokens. That you determine which Blockchain they are at.

And of course, the logo would be a cat from Schrödinger´s famous thought experiment. At least I do not think he performed actual experiments on cats...

If you have not heard of Schrödinger´s Cat then do yourself a favor and google it, you can thank me in the comment section later

So if you can make this happen, I will let you use my awesome name for your project and I will only take 10% equity in the company. No, I am not kidding. I think 10% is a bargain for basically having the perfect name. And the rough draft of how the wallet should work. The only piece lacking is the actual technical parts that n one sees behind the screen. But if they can make quantum computers work this should not be that hard, right?

Here is a bonus fun windows fact for you as well. As I was working on this post looking for a thumbnail. I found a good one and downloaded it. Wut the place where was trying to save it had a folder with the same name of the file I was trying to save. To save you some trouble, don't name your files the same as your folders, your computer will thank you. And if you are wondering what happens. Instead of saving the file, the program opens the folder for you... GG windows, GG.

I hope that this trip into the periphery of my mind has not been too offputting to you. And it has at least been somewhat entertaining and constructive. But I would like to know what your thoughts are on crypto wallets. Do you agree with me and how I would like them to work. Or do you think my ideas are just poppy cock and the work of a person who does not have all the horses in the barn so to say? ^^ Please share your thoughts on how you think a wallet should work down below in the comment section.
