Morpher is a DeFi protocol empowering its users to trade stocks, commodities, and currencies with zero fees and infinite liquidity via Virtual Swaps on Ethereum.
Morpher’s users stake the protocol’s native token MPH on the price development of a market, e.g. the Apple stock. The Protocol acts as counterparty and mints/burns MPH token proportionally to the price change of the underlying. 100 MPH staked on Apple become 110 MPH if Apple gains 10%, or 90 MPH if Apple loses 10%. The underlying stock is never traded. Morpher replicates the economics of trading traditional assets on the blockchain without engaging in trading the underlying.
Morpher supports more than 660 markets with a leverage of up to 10. All markets can be shorted and are liquid 24/7. Morpher has more than 30,000 active users and is backed by billionaire Tim Draper.
Morpher developed its own real-time data Oracle, a non-custodial wallet, and hosts its own Plasma Sidechain with a blocktime of 1 second and no gas fees for a real-time trading experience.
