A warm welcome to another Let’s Simplify Things! post!
In this series of posts about NFTs I’m attempting to provide you all the information you need to enter the wonderful world of NFTs.

CHAPTER 12!
EXIT LIMBO.
In this chapter we travel to Italy and to be more specific to the north part of the country where we visit the beautiful city of Modena!
The home of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani, Maserati and also Exit Limbo!
And for you who do not know Exit Limbo yet, it is a game.
It is a spiritual successor to the 80’s and 90’s classic beat’ em up games that takes place in the streets of Modena.
And coming from the cradle of fine design you can expect nothing less than the famous Italian finesse!
When I enquired about the game plot I received the following reply….
“After a strange accident, a vicious ‘zombie sheep thing’ appears before our protagonist which marks the beginning of a spree of chaos. His home town transforms into a projection of his mind, the rot of his psyche materialises the monstrous creatures that invade his city and the protagonist is left with no option but to fight to the core of it all.
This is how Mr.Rhino’s journey begins searching for the root of his madness, the essence of his tormented existence, in the hope of overcoming the oblivion.
The game gives a bow to celebrated beat ’em ups of the 80’s/90’s, in particular the “Street Fighter” and “Streets of Rage” series, reinterpreting the genre with an updated fighting system and a fresh updated look, fruit of a distinctive art direction and contemporary tools and techniques.”
You will of course at this point ask me what does a game has to do with NFTs?
Well a lot as the Exit Limbo team is now, as the card above says, transforming it to blockchain collectible cards that will in the future have, potentially, further uses!
Although the future uses are not confirmed yet… they are indeed super exciting!
Unfortunately but understandably the team is very tight when it comes to providing details about the game it self.
But judging from the trailer of the original game and from what I might or might not know, I can with confidence tell you that not only the famous Italian design is present but that I can not wait to play it!
A thing I can tell you though, is that the music comes from Giovanni Cantele and Dario Casillo!
Two very talented musicians that come from Modena and have also formed the Exit Limbo music band.
I also hear a lot of rumours that the first packs will be arriving very soon!
So do keep an eye on Exit Limbo’s website, Twitter and Telegram as I’m sure you don’t want to miss them!
Coming back to the NFTs, the team has already released with great success the first cards.
On the 22nd of January, the first challenge was also revealed!
You had to use 2 Transformation cards to get a very limited MechaRhino.
The demand was so high that it disappeared in seconds leaving me unable to obtain one.
A great indication on how much people like the project!
And how come it could be any different with such excellent artwork and a bright future!
I must point out that the proceedings from the sale of the cards are going towards the further development of the game!
So when you buy a card either from the team directly or from the secondary market you not only become the proud owners of beautiful art pieces and holders of very useful cards in the near future, but you also help to bring to life exciting new features!
Features that will also increase the value of your cards!
