One Billion Satoshi - February/March Update

Hi everyone!

Yes, oops, I realized that I completely missed my February update. So there you go, this update is for both February and March. Although I had a few days off stacking sats via my favorite faucets, these past two months saw a decent amount of action. February was Coinpot farewell month with a last successful withdraw, I dug deeper into FireFaucet and made a head-to-head earning comparison with Cointiply a few weeks ago, I finished March with a Cointiply Super Sunday and gave a shot to another Bitcoin faucet - SatoshiHero.

My earnings kept progressing steadily and I'm now firmly above 3.2 million sats. Ironically, Bitcoin price rose by about 75% between Feb 1st and March 31st, making my returns in Satoshi diminishing every week, and making my 1,000,000,000 goal even harder to reach. But it's a good sign overall, my sats earned in September last year are now worth 6x more, I can't complain. Let's review what happened these past two months.

This "1 Billion Satoshi goal barre" is on a log scale.

Coinpot Farewell

Coinpot ceased all activities at the end of January and all payments at the end of February. As they posted the announcement, I was able to cash out all my available Satoshi, not without a little sweat, but it all went through.

I had decided to make the most of the last week of activity of the site and survey partners. Since they were paying big payouts in Satoshi it was worth the shot. These Yuno surveys were paying as high as 9,000 sats per survey! Crazy when you think about it. Nothing comes close now, not even Cointiply and all its boosts and bonuses.

I had accumulated over 100,000 sats during that week. All but 2 survey rewards were confirmed after the 10 days quarantine period. On February 14th, the funds were on my Bitcoin wallet. Thank you and Farewell Coinpot, you will be missed.

FireFaucet Passes The Test

FireFaucet was in a trial period for me in January. Things went rather well, sats were stacked and payments were received. I wrote a quick starter guide for FireFaucet and "officially" added it to my faucet arsenal. Cointiply is still the front runner, by far, but FireFaucet is a nice addition.

On FireFaucet, I'm mainly claiming the faucet in between 2 Cointiply faucet claims and complete a few surveys here and there to benefit from the Daily Task Bonuses. The bonuses associated with survey completion are extremely easy to claim.

I'm now level 112 and the sats level rewards are getting bigger and bigger, above 220 sats a the moment. They increase at every level and completing surveys can make you climb levels real fast.

As soon as I reach the $7 threshold limit to cash out, I do so. I have made 4 withdraws so far and no problem at all. FireFaucet is a keeper.

Cointiply VS FireFaucet

This was an interesting comparison experiment that I made a few weeks ago. While not perfect the goal was to explore how much can be made on Cointiply and FireFaucet in one single day, and see what faucet yield the most under comparable conditions.

The results for FireFaucet are here, and for Cointiply here.

The interesting thing with FireFaucet was that I was able to easily finish in the top 20 of the Daily Leaderboard - I actually finished 5th! However the payout is ridiculously small compared to the effort needed to finish in the top spots. The Daily Leaderboard should not really be a goal to pursue. For those who remember, Coinpot had very high cash prizes for its monthly leaderboard.

At the end of that day, I had made about $5.3 on FireFaucet.

On the other hand, I almost earned $7 on Cointiply doing about the same things for about the same amount of time. It doesn't seem much of a difference but I made over 20% more with Cointiply compared to FireFaucet.

Although the head-to-head comparison may not be very accurate, I didn't push it all the way with Cointiply. For instance, I didn't use any consumable items during my "Cointiply-only day". I could have easily boosted my earnings by 20%, making the difference even bigger.

At least for now and for the routine I have Cointiply is the best faucet out there to maximize earnings in my opinion. FireFaucet is a great complement nonetheless.

SatoshiHero - Trial Period

I was not necessarily looking to add another faucet to my arsenal but I stumbled upon SatoshiHero faucet about 3 weeks ago.

Similarly to Coinpot, and unlike Cointiply and FireFaucet, SatoshiHero pays in Bitcoin, not in coins or $ (FireFaucet pays in $ although, deceivingly, displays in BTC so your sats count goes up and down as the exchange rate fluctuates). I really like collecting sats from the get go and not having to worry about "losing" value if Bitcoin gains 10% against the $ over the weekend.

As usual, the bulk of your money will be made via offers and surveys. Conveniently, SatoshiHero partners with all the usual survey providers including TheoremReach, CPX Research, OfferToro, Wannads and AdGatemedia. App installations and downloads are also available if you like to earn sats this way.

This faucet also hosts a bunch of Bitcoin games and gambling games if you feel like risking some of your stash. Not for me though.

30,000 sats is the minimal amount to withdraw, which is relatively high compared to Cointiply or FireFaucet, but nothing outrageous if you complete a few surveys, and if SatoshiHero pays of course... I'll keep exploring this new faucet and will post a little review as soon as my first withdraw is confirmed.

That's it for this February/march update. Thanks for reading!
