Hi everyone,
Earlier this week I wanted to focus only on FireFaucet, just for 1 day, just to try it. I usually spend most of my faucet time on Cointiply but I wanted to test the potential of FireFaucet. I had mentioned before that finishing at the top spots of the Daily Leaderboard would be possible and also that the rewards were anemic compared what it would most likely take to get in the top 20 spots. To test this, for one full day, I only completed surveys through FireFaucet. I also claimed several times my faucet, did a few PTCs and Shortlinks but these are nothing compared to surveys. The result? Over 500,000 Auto Claim Points and 1,870 Satoshi as bonus for leveling up. Let's retrace that day and see the progression.
Beginning Of The Day
0 UTC, or the beginning of a new FireFaucet day, falls in early evening where I am (US East Coast) which make it ideal to attack a new day head on. At the beginning of that day I was level 84 and had a little bit under 100k ACPs already on my account.
I claimed my faucet, daily bonus and jumped right in. I was able to put ~45-60 minutes of surveys in, spread across my evening, and before going to sleep. As always I started grinding with my favorite survey provider: TheoremReach.
In trying to maximize my time and earnings, I always sort the surveys by rewards and then select the ones under 15 minutes of estimated completion time. By selecting high-reward surveys, you tend to get more when you don't qualify, and if you qualify then the ratio reward/time is almost better than shorter surveys. So there you go, mid-way through my evening, at 8:26 pm, I had earned already 10,275 Activity Points (APs) and I was 3rd on the leaderboard.
I was at least very much on par with other the users completing offers/surveys after one and a half hour. I also leveled up quite a bit and had already jumped to level 87!
Morning Routine
I often try to complete a few surveys while having my breakfast. It really depends on the day but I usually spend 20-30 minutes on faucet websites whenever I can.
At 6:10 am, I had doubled up my APs and were in 7th position. jordanjaelxlg03 most likely had completed a big offer and took a strong hold at the top spot with 118k APs!
I was hoping not to fall to far behind during the day, especially as I would not have a lot of time to complete more surveys.
Mid-Day Status
Lunch time is also usually a time I try to complete surveys whenever possible. I was able to put 30 more minutes in the race. At 12:58 pm I was still very much in contention for the top spots and climbed up to the 5th place. I was starting to think that I could make to the top 20. The top ranked users had not moved much and was likely to remain at the top spots no matter what.
Given my pace, how the ranking evolves and the fact that places 4th to 10th are equally rewarded (10,000 APCs), I felt more and more that reaching 3rd spot was maybe to far to reach and that being anywhere between 4th-10th would be good enough.
Also, I had exhausted my number of TheoremReach surveys I could do in one day, as the "Some one ate all the surveys" message appeared with no more surveys available. For the rest of the day I decided to move on to CPX Research surveys. They pay good but are a little harder to qualify for.
Mid-Afternoon
Here I was, less than 3 hours to go before the end of the day, I kept up with the pace and I was still in 5th spot. I have to say that I was surprised by my rank a that point.
End Of The Day
6:59 pm. The day was about to end as I was leading a tight pack of 5th-to-10th places. Within only 2,000 APs, a group of 3 users battled for a better reward for the 2nd and 3rd spot. In the end, jordanjaelxlg03 remained totally uncontested at the top spot.
5th Place & The Reward(s)
So there it is! Focusing on FireFaucet only, with less than 2 hours of surveys overall I was able to find my way in the top 20 spots of the Daily Leaderboard. Even better, I finished 5th and not too far from 2nd and 3rd places. First place was definitely out of touch. As the page refresh the next morning, I was greeted with a little message certifying my performance and my reward. Cool, no?
Cool but these 10,000 ACPs are merely a drop in the ocean. At the end of my day I had made over 500,000 ACPs, so 10k on top of that isn't really much. Even the 1st place reward is very small compare to what you would have to put in to finish 1st.
I had my Auto Payout running almost all day long, and at the end of the day I still had over 540k APCs to convert (remember I started with ~100k) for 42 hours worth of faucet claim!!
As I anticipated, if you get a tiny bit serious on FireFaucet you will need to use the direct conversion method to get your crypto and get your sats with a 5% fee (compared to the Auto Faucet system). Given the amount of ACPs I had on my account, I went ahead and tested the direct conversion. Fresh of a new 30,000 ACPs survey I converted all of my 572,023 ACPs to BTC. This added up to ~$5.35 or ~105k Satoshi. That's actually a very decent stash of sats for one big day of surveys (given what I can spare for that) and this makes me want to do the same type of experiment with Cointiply to truly see who ends up ahead, the cut may not be as clear as I thought in the end...
On top of that, the last thing to consider is all the sats bonuses accumulated by leveling up. I finished the day at level 95! That's a rather impressive 11-level hike in one day. Each level comes with an incremental reward. These 11 levels earned me 1,870 sats on top of the 105k converted earlier, an additional $0.9.
Conclusion
I was definitely surprised to finish in the top 10 of the Daily Leaderboard with under 2 hours of surveys in 24 hours. It will interesting to compare and see how often these same ~48k APs are enough to put a strong finish like this one.
On the reward side, I was also pleasantly surprised of the final $ amount - over $6 when included everything. This now begs a more direct comparison with what Cointiply could earn me with an equivalent amount of time dedicated to it. Will see next time.
Enjoy your time on FireFaucet friends! Thanks for reading.
