I think Artificial Intelligence will have a negative impact on society because of the variety of adverse effects it brings about.   Although AI tools are useful in helping people find answers to their questions, they consume a lot of electricity. For instance, inputting a prompt on ChatGPT consumes 10 times more energy than doing a search on Google. The increase in energy consumption imposes additional strain on our finite resources.     In addition, landing a job will be more challenging as firms invest heavily in AI. Microsoft and Meta will cut 23,000 jobs while investing billions into AI. Likewise, Standard Chartered will cut more than 7,000 jobs as it expands its use of AI and automation. With jobs becoming scarce, we will need to work extra harder to make ourselves more attractive to employers.     I suggest that schools need to prepare students for the demands of an AI-infused world. We need to learn how to think critically and creatively so that we can become the masters of AI
