I know that in the eyes of other people I am a weird chap and I feel fine about this. I feel adventurous and immature.
At times when I'm alone at home and think about the events of the day, I realize that I'm jumping around on this earth without much consideration for others, and I want to inspire other people to do the same!
For the readers who immediately think, "Wait a minute!".
I'm not insensitive, on the contrary, but I can't and don't want to feel what someone else feels. I can't because what you feel is yours and I don't want to feel it because I wasn't born to feel for you.
I haven't done this all my life, but I've changed. I always thought that you had to listen to others and that their opinion is important.
Now I know that my feelings are the most important thing.
Usually I feel happy and give life a 9, sometimes I feel a little less than that.
Who would have thought that I, David, who always felt so bad and couldn't handle life, would make it this far with a simple technique called meditation.
I have been meditating for almost 20 years now. There are different techniques and I have practiced a bunch of them. The last 12 years I meditate every day at least once, as soon as I get up in the morning.
Sometimes I meditate for a second time because I feel like it or because I want to feel better. My meditation sessions last 15-20 minutes.
How did it start? I once lived in a Hare Krishna monastery in Belgium for 3 years and there it became interesting for me. I learned through mantra meditation that I have a focus, a will that I can direct. I didn't know that! Mantra meditation is listening to the sound vibration which you create yourself, an example which you might know of is the word/sound vibration OHM.

Nowadays I put my metronome App on 20 minutes and listen to tap, tap, tap, tap etc.
Morning is the best time to meditate because your mind is still calm, and because it gives a good feeling that can last all through the day. Actually, "good" is not enough. It gives me a feeling of happiness from the inside out!
It is not going to be easy to convince you, dear readers, of the value of meditation, I know that, because of course I have experienced myself that words don't teach! It's not going to be easy to get you to meditate at all, but I'm going to do my best for those who have ever thought about it or heard of it!
By the way, have you ever met someone who told you that you shouldn't learn how to meditate, because your life is going in the opposite direction?
I can guarantee you that if you learn to meditate, your life will immediately improve, or else I'm here to answer your questions regarding meditation.
With the articles I'm going to post about meditation, I'm going to try to enlighten you about this highly undervalued technique that anyone can learn. I want to write about the technique and how and why it works and what the state of "Being in meditation" means and feels like.
If I could ever give anyone some good advice, it would be, "Learn how to Meditate"! (No Ritalin)
But words don't teach and that's why I have to get you to go for it and experience the state of meditation, often this doesn't work after the first time.
