Splinterlands | Tenyii Striker Challenge

Another week with a chaos Legion Card highlighted in the Share Your Battle Challenge for Splinterlands. This is the Rare Fire Tenyii Striker.

I see the Fire Splinter right now (aside from Yodin which is overpowered but not owned by that many players) is one of the weakest classes because it lacks both Speed and Armor which are extremely important to keep your monster alive. The Tenyii Striker on it's own I would say is a pretty good card with 7 health for 5 Mana and some good attack and abilities. It is however hard to make it work with the Fire Splinter since other classes for most of the rulesets are just stronger.

I personally own this card at level 4 waiting to get more cards to get it up to level 5 eventually. On my alt account, I have a golden foil level 3 in my alt account where I used it for the battle this week. I'm in Gold 2 Wild League with my alt account which only has level 3 summoners so I'm up against much stronger cards usually.

The game Rules were 26 mana with all monsters getting divine shield and slow speed. Especially the slow speed makes a weakness of the Fire class into a power and I played my Level 1 Legendary Grum Flameblade as the main tank followed by cards that all had Melee attack to make use of the +1 summoner ability. The Flame Monkey in 2nd place was mostly to block potential blast damage while keeping my Sneak monsters alive longer in the Koblin Miner remains solid for the mana cost and the Tenyii Striker also fitted in pretty well in this deck also concentrating 2 monster to the backline of the enemy to have a higher chance of actually killing his monsters early. The Divine shield made it possible to field the Parasitic Growth and like most games, the Furious Chicken was put in to defend against sneak damage.

I was quite lucky almost perfectly countering my opponent who had up to level 8 cards, the double sneak damage + opportunity ripped through his backline since his monsters were not protected by armor and the Bloodlust ability of the grum also came in at the right time. In the end it was a close match still but I pulled through also very much thanks to the Tenyii Striker. Overall I would say it's a solid card for a weak class.
