The Regal Peryton I would say is one of the essential cards in the game right now not only because it is very powerful, but also because it can be used in most game rules. It synergizes very well with the Obsidian Earth Summoner, it has 7 health and Level 5 and a massive 6 Speed combined with the Fly ability which will cause multiple misses by opponents on sneak or snipe attacks. Aside from that there is not much to say and it just offers excellent quality and performance for the price it costs.
The game I played for this challenge was with my Level 3 alt account near the end of the season where I'm usually up against opponents with much higher Summoners. This makes it so that I most of the time need to go extreme on my deck in order to have a chance to win. The Earth Obsidian Summoner combined with all Magic Attack monsters tends to work quite well. With game rules where ranged attack can attack from the first spot, it's less likely for the opponent to really focus on countering magic. The 2nd rule was that all health of monsters got equalized which made the Mycelic Morphoid an excellent tank for just 1 mana cost. I followed that up by 5 Magic monsters with the Regal Peryton first in line given that it has a lot of speed. The Mushroom Seer helped to counter magic attacks from the opponent and both the Wood Nymph and the Goblin Psycic both provided tank heal. In the back, it was good to have the 2 mana Khmer Princess as it was sure to get extra health.
It turned out in a fairly easy win as my opponent didn't counter the magic attacks while also not focusing on damage and healing which I did.
