On that cloudy November morning, while I was still resenting the work pains of the previous day, I decided to get back on the streets and meet new customers for CHAPA BCH Mozambique. My conviction is such that not a promise of storm shakes my being and leads me to challenge even the designs of God.
I do not do it because I am the superman, of course not, but because I believe there is still much to give to the success of Bitcoin Cash in the lands of Maputo and Matola. Here, people need to know that they can have a secure transport service and pay using Bitcoin Cash.

I was still leaving the house, when small drizzles fall on the great Maputo helping to drown the dust that is on the bumpy roads of the province, but even so, I didn't retreat.
Just around the avenue February 5th I get a call from a client who has long been following our work "Hello how are you?" - he asks all distressed. "I want you to take my daughter to school because today's not a good day. It already started dripping and her school bus is not available. Can you do this job and pay her in BCH?". Those words sounded like a reward to me. I responded positively and there I went towards the client's residence.
However, I did not even realize that the drops had already become rain and the street on which I was heading was all poorly treated. But, commitment that is commitment, I could not refuse and went through the bumpy road to take the child to school.

Upon arriving at the residence I receive again the customer's call "Hello, when you arrive at school you will send your BCH wallet address so that I can make the payment. And by the way, you didn't even told me how much I should pay: how much will this trip cost me?" I prompted answered " one hundred and fifty Meticais". He accepted and upon arriving at school, I sent the wallet address and in less than a minute the amount was deposited, without delays, extra payments or some kind of difficulty.
It was here where I realized why I sacrifice myself and wake up every day in the sun or even rain to work on the CHAPA BCH Mozambique project:
-
I am providing a convenient, practical and innovative way for people to pay for transportation. Using Bitcoin Cash they are free from the bonds that traditional money has. They pay freely and directly without third party intervention paying almost zero to carry out transactions.
Bitcoin Cash isn't only useful in many parts of the world like Mozambique where the vast majority of people do not have a bank account, but also serves as a means of payment for obtaining goods necessary for human experience.

Globally, BCH has been making headlines during 2025, with the price of the currency catching the attention of traders and conversations in which institutions want to have the currency on their investment spreadsheets. This November, showing muscle in the market, BCH is demonstrating energy and gaining attention as trusted decentralized digital money.
But price is only part of the story. The BCH community is pretty busy this year: conferences like Bliss and network upgrades have powered developers and traders, pulling conversations from "what is crypto" to "how can we currently use it". This vibrant energy will continue to grow with wallet updates as well as concrete integrations from merchants.
Locally I am now focused on the first Chapa BCH Meetup and preparing to answer questions such as: "is the current moment of BCH price simply a Pump or is there something new that we can expect?" Honestly I am prepared to answer: sometimes. But it is also fuel - good or bad - this leads people to learn about on-ramps, wallets, and having basic cryptocurrency literacy.
Meetups are important, because in them:
-
We will talk, laugh and have the curiosity of the people answered
-
They will learn to send a tip, to receive a payment instantly
-
Use a wallet to make a swap of a currency for BCH
-
Merchants interested in getting started with Bitcoin Cash can also get their literacy and cut the 3-8% charged on credit cards.

The next few days will be important as I will promote CHAPA BCH Meetup asking them if they:
-
Wouldn't like to join the Meetup and learn more about BCH? If so, to bring a friend to the Meetup as there, they will find real people who are interested in Bitcoin Cash. The best ad is to convince people to accept BCH as a means of payment
-
Are in the Meetup to not retract and ask relevant questions, after all there will people prepared to answer all kinds of questions.
In fact the stories will always change - some will talk about the price, BCH rank in the aggregator markets - but the work in silence and stubborn, will always be the human: teaching, helping how to send and receive BCH, or even empower a driver to receive the first payment via BCH. This is how narrative becomes adoption.
I’m also leaving my BCH address in case anyone wants to support us so we can organize the meetup even better. After all, the success of this first meetup is important for bringing more people into the BCH ecosystem and helping the community grow strong here in Mozambique:

The success of BCH depends only on the dedication and passion of everyone involved in the community. No one walks the path to success alone — it’s always one hand helping another.
