A personal reflection on family, responsibility, and the choices that shaped my year

Today is December 25, the famous family day. I am sitting on the bed reflecting “how the year was and what it gave to do”. Days like this are for reflection and being with family, but I am alone because my wife and children went to my in-laws’ house.
I do not like going there very much because there is always an embarrassment, after all, in-laws are in-laws and they always find a reason to implicate a son-in-law no matter what occasion it is. I preferred to take advantage of the date to stay in my corner and make the balance of the year. However, before everything, I gathered with my children so we could have a father-to-children conversation.
I recognized that it was not possible to please everyone and I asked forgiveness for that. I have 4 children and it is difficult that all are happy with me or my decisions but I promised that next year everything would be different and we would have more communication. I see this as an important step so that they, me and my wife have a much more united and strong family environment. I also appealed to my rebellious children that they try to be more responsible and a little less stubborn.
Having children is not something that smells like flowers because everyone has a different posture. It is this difference that shapes their character. Despite still being minors it is always necessary to keep the channels of dialogue open to avoid that they look for help outside the house when they need it.
This was my first step in my annual balance.
From building a home to growing real Bitcoin Cash adoption in Mozambique

<Today is like this>
Then I observed what I had done for the conclusion of my work. I recognize that I pushed a little and completed some important steps like moving to the room that I was finishing arranging: I mounted the door, plastered the walls, put the glass blocks and other necessary tasks so that it would be habitable. Also, I closed a part of the yard that was exposed, raised a walkway for my wife to use in her daily tasks and sent the mason to make a new water drain.
I have been building this house for 4 years now, and, using Bitcoin Cash to do it.
Bitcoin Cash has been an impeccable companion for years and it does not make sense not to mention what I did for the BCH community in 2025.
Well then, this year I conducted a campaign to continue creating quality content for the community which was successful and during 12 months brought many works. I published more than 120 articles that were republished by my blogs and I reached more than 185 thousand views only on read.cash. All the articles contain a lot of value for the community and help to spread information about the ecosystem working for newbies looking for info as well as veterans who want to read a good article.

I published on read.cash as I said previously, as well as on Publish0x, Bastyon, Reddit, Memo.cash, Realbitcoin.cash and now also on Substack. I also have presence on more platforms but these are the ones that I regularly use to publish my content.
In this year that is ending, I also conducted a campaign to have funding for my project CHAPA BCH Mozambique, which was successful and the first transport service in which users pay using BCH was born. For three months it has been on the market working so that more people have knowledge of the peer-to-peer electronic cash system and to onboard both people and local merchants. We are in the working phase and here everything can happen, but, if it depends on me CHAPA will be a success.
On December 20, we conducted the first Meetup named “CHAPA BCH Meetup” which was also a success and already immediately conquered 4 young people and they want more meetups to gradually learn about Bitcoin Cash and how it can be used by them to achieve financial freedom. My daughter became a mascot of BCH in Mozambique and today she is also clearing the land to get more people for the community.

Lessons learned, challenges faced, and why 2026 must be even stronger
In a general summary, the year was challenging but very rewarding also after all, some objectives were achieved and many things improved.
Therefore, I would like to thank the entire community for its immense support especially for those:
-
Who do not get tired of funding innovative projects without asking for something in return other than work on the idea
-
The developers who work so that Bitcoin Cash has secure projects, necessary and that involve the community
-
The merchants who accept Bitcoin Cash
-
The educators and content creators working to facilitate necessary information for those who seek it
-
And all those who work for the success of BCH.
These are the pillars so that the community is strong, the currency has more presence in the market and more people have interest in the ecosystem after all, BCH is the real Bitcoin, peer-to-peer, the one that Satoshi always had in mind. This year practically ended, therefore, it is important to continue working so that 2026 is better than it, both individually and for the BCH community.
This was my wrap of 2025 and I hope that in the next year I continue to work to help BCH become a meeting point of the next billion people joining the crypto ecosystem. And you, how was your year?
In this Christmas season and end of year, I continue accepting Bitcoin Cash as the only viable gift for me, after all whoever has BCH can fight all kinds of things and remain as their bank, easy to move the money when necessary and paying very little to move.
