What is minting?
Minting a property is the process where you obtain a property on the blockchain in exchange for UPX.
What's the green circle on my Block Explorer (BE)?
This tells you how many unminted properties your BE has discovered that you can mint. These are all the bright green properties around your explorer. Click on your BE and then the button in the middle - this will show a list of all of the unminted properties.
What are 'sends'?
You can send your BE to your own property for free. You can also send your BE to other minted properties owned by other players, this will cost you 1 send and some UPX depending on the visit fee set (between 5 and 200 UPX). You set your visit fee by clicking the 3 dots on your property. Between 5 and 20 for Fresno, 20 and 100 for San Fran and NY. Airport terminals are between 20 and 200.
You can collect more sends by picking up the paper airplanes around the map that are within discovery range of your BE. Sends reset at 00:00UTC, you will get 3 free if you have zero left, you can hold a maximum of 11 and collect up to 40 throughout the day.
Why is my BE randomly floating around, can I control where it goes?
The mechanics are deliberate that it floats randomly. You can only control it by sending to your own property repeatedly until it goes in the direction you want or you can send it to a nearby minted property.
Do I need to collect my UPX every 3 hours or will it just keep increasing?
You do not need to collect every 3 hours, the UPX will keep stacking. You will lose a property's rent you haven't collected if you sell that property though.
How do I hunt treasures?
Treasure Hunting is very competitive, especially in SF. Start out in Fresno to learn the ropes.
You get one free standard hunt per day but I’ll be honest, it’s very difficult unless you have a few properties scattered around the map. I wouldn’t waste UPX unless the pulse behind the arrow is quick or red. You access the Treasure from the Quick Menu at the bottom (3 dots).
Advice - watch out for Limited (every 20-60 minutes) and Exclusive (every 1-3 hours) hunts – click the history tab seen on the screenshot above to see when the last one was won. Check out and study the arrows when they are active and get a feel for the mechanics of them, the speed of the pulses and direction. Then check the history to see where they were won. Pro tip - don’t waste UPX chasing treasures unless you have a red arrow. This will help you with completing standard treasure hunts. What does FSA mean?
FSA = Fair Start Act, players that are Uplander status with a Net worth of less than 100k are eligible to purchase the properties labeled with "FSA" on the Upland map. Anyone over 100k Net cannot. Thus, that creates an opportunity for the FSA eligible to buy those properties, then sell them secondhand to an FSA-ineligible player. The properties have the same UP2 to UPX value, it's just that the mainly cheaper properties are locked for newer players to buy. Thanks to TDavis for the great description! More Here
Why are my earnings so low?
Your earnings are relative to your investment. The minimum you receive in unminted properties is actually a 17% return, try earning that from a bank. These earnings are boosted by collection bonuses with 1.1 to 3 x multipliers (boosting to between 18.7 and 51%). Get involved with the community in Discord and Telegram for ways to earn more UPX.
How do I use trains between Fresno and SF and planes between SF and New York?
Using stations and airports - you must click on the terminal in the city you are in. Zoom out on the map until you see the terminal you want to use. Click on the terminal and send your BE there. Once you are there, click on the terminal again and you will see the city you want to send to. Trains cost 95 UPX and planes cost 2,580 UPX each way.
How can I check my transactions on the blockchain?
You will find your wallet ID by clicking on your username at the top left of the screen. Then click on your status below your username (Visitor/Uplander/Pro/Director/Executive). This will take you to the window below - click on the link below EOS Account and it will take you directly to bloks.io.
How do I 'cash out'?
Fiat Out is currently being beta tested. The process uses Linden Lab's TiliaPay - you will sell your properties for USD. UPX will always stay as an in-game token. Business licences may provide an option to make Fiat too but that isn't confirmed.
What do I do with collections?
You need to manually add properties into collections via the menu at the bottom of the screen. Always put your highest earning property into the highest possibly multiplier if you can. Properties can only be in 1 collection at a time but you can remove them and add to other collections if you wish.
How can i ensure that a property I want to buy is in a collection?
Click on the POI button and it will bring up the district borders. You can also click on the boosted earnings of the property. Do not rely on Google Maps or anything else.
How do I see all properties for sale?
Click on the marketplace button. This will show you everything for sale on the map that you can see on your screen, zoom in or out to broaden or lessen your search area.
How do I remove an offer made on a property?
The UPX offered will stay in escrow until you either remove the offer or the offer is accepted.To remove an offer, click on the menu at the bottom then click properties. Click on Sent Offers and then on the property you want to remove the offer on. Then click the yellow button.
How do you tilt the map?
Mobile: 2 finger swipe up or down
Windows: Ctrl+Up/Down arrow
Mac: Shift+Up/Down arrow
How do I rotate the map?
Mobile: 2 finger twist
Windows: Ctrl+Left/Right arrow or hold right click and move the mouse/pad
Mac: Shift+Left/Right arrow or hold right click and move the mouse/pad
