Happy Monday Folks! Bitcoin is trading down at $51,081 but up from a week ago. Over the weekend we continued to hear a lot about the emails from Satoshi and getting a better sense of what he thought as he created Bitcoin. Today, the news continues to be focused on the hack of MicroStrategy's X account which lead to $440K in Crypto being stolen.(6) Meanwhile they slam the buy button once again to the tune of $155M!(6) Let's get to the News...
$BTC remains range bound between $51K and $53K. Bitcoin investment products received $570M in inflows last week and as of this week, the total assets under management (AuM) for digital assets hit a peak of $68.3 billion.(2) Novogratz believe the ETFs will lead to more retail demand.
$ETH might be on the verge of a monster breakout esp if it gets back above $3,100 as $64M is pulled from exchanges. $XRP and $DOGE could get a bit of a boost this week as well.
RiskOnBlast appears to have rugpulled after $1M presale.(2) Remember back in the day KyberSwap was hacked for $2.5M and now those stolen funds have been sent to Ethereum. Bitforex trading has been halted and they've stopped responding to users.(4)
Satoshi's Predictions about Bitcoin
MID-DAY
Bitcoin approaches $55K as IBIT tops $1B in trades.(3) NYDIG says Bitcoin ETF high volume doesn't always mean heaving buying so keep that in mind. Dan Tapiero says a significant correction isn't likely since there is so much buy side demand for Bitcoin. However, Michael van de Poppe sees a correction after the halving. At the rate it's going Bitcoin ETFs will flip Gold ETFs.(3) Ethereum is rallying hard against Bitcoin but that is because there is very low supply on exchanges and now it is the largest institutional Crypto asset. However, is it topping out versus Bitcoin? Craig Wright's former lawyer says the emails that everyone have been swooning all over might be fake.
Bitcoin & Politics
Crypto users could "make a difference in a close election" in the US according to CoinFlip's CEO Ben Weiss. I am not sure I agree with him since the Crypto community doesn't vote as a block.
