I just got back from my local convenience store. I'm a regular there. A Coke and a bag of Doritos. Usually it costs me $3.75...But today...Today would be different.

"Tamara! How's work treating you? Did yall get robbed last night? I heard some gunshots in this direction...I would've come out to help but..I was...Helping my wife with something."

"Yes. We did get robbed. Everyone knows your wife left you" she replied as she scanned the Doritos. "It'll be $3.75."

"Who said that?! She's...On vacation."

"True. Without you and for good. $3.75, please."

"Whatever. Hey, can I pay with Bitcoin? I've been asking you for months now. C'mon!"

"How. Many Times do I have to...You know what? Sure. You can pay with Bitcoin."

I couldn't believe it! The start of mass adoption! Finally the day has come!

"How much BTC do I owe you?" I asked getting my phone ready.

"Nope. One Bitcoin. You wanted to pay in Bitcoin right? Rules are rules. It's not like you have a wife and kids to support. You can afford it."

Today, I was a catalyst to mass adoption. I put my money where my mouth was and payed one monetary unit.

Dad: "You payed one Bitcoin for some chips and a soda?!"

"Um...No...I payed a dollar. I had to leave the chips behind. I thought I had the rest but I didn't...But the corner store accepts Bitcoin now. Who's next?
