I've been working at this company for a while now, and I've noticed something strange happening to me lately. It's like my thoughts are taking wavy paths instead of straight lines. I can't seem to think as clearly as I used to, and it's becoming more and more frustrating.

I think it has to do with the fact that I've been working long hours in a very stressful environment. My brain is overworked and overwhelmed, and I just can't seem to focus on anything. It's like my mind is constantly racing, and I can't slow it down.

I've been doing some research, and I've learned that this sensation is caused by high levels of adrenaline and cortisol in my body. These hormones are released when I'm under stress, and they make it difficult for me to think straight. It's like my brain is stuck in fight or flight mode, and I can't seem to turn it off.

So, what can I do to lower these high hormone levels and get back to a more balanced state? Well, I've found some tips that have been really helpful for me, and I wanted to share them with you.

Spend time in nature
One of the best things I've found to help me calm down is spending time in nature. Whether it's going for a walk in the park or hiking in the woods, being outside in the fresh air and surrounded by natural beauty has a way of calming my mind and helping me to relax.

Practice yoga
As you know, I'm training to become a yoga instructor, and I've found that practicing yoga has been incredibly helpful for reducing my stress levels. Yoga combines physical movement with meditation and breathing exercises, which can help to calm the mind and lower cortisol levels.

Get enough sleep
Another important thing to remember is to get enough sleep. When we're sleep-deprived, our bodies produce more cortisol, which can make us feel even more stressed out. So, make sure you're getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night.

Eat a balanced diet
What we eat can also affect our stress levels. Eating a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein can help to regulate our hormones and keep us feeling balanced.

Take breaks and prioritize self-care
Finally, it's important to take breaks and prioritize self-care. This might mean taking a few minutes to meditate during the workday, taking a hot bath at night, or simply taking a few deep breaths whenever you're feeling stressed out. Remember, taking care of yourself is essential for managing stress and maintaining a healthy mind and body.
