Growing up I had a Macintosh, before OSX was a thing. And did not get a PC until I was a teenager. I was lucky to play one of the best games of its time on Mac. It was alot like Doom, but with aliens instead of monsters. The game had three squeals and easter eggs of this game can be found in Halo. As they were both designed by Bungie.

Using an emulator, I was able to build a virtual environment that supports games that run on the PowerPC architecture. Using an app called Sheepshaver, and having a ROM file of the bios I am able to install the operating system. And play some of the games I grew up with.

Jumping through levels using hotkeys, I create savegame files. Then using an app called "Marathon Cheater" I can add health weapons and other things. Ive found myself enjoying the game more with all the weapons and health.

Getting teleported to the final level, I have to fight off hordes of aliens. And even robot aliens. Luckily I have an arsenal to choose from.

The enemies start off pretty easy and then moving onto harder ones as I access new switches. These open doors with more enemies behind them. The juggernaunt is the final boss I have to take on.

I fire my rocket launcher up close to the alien robot giant and it throws me back. I fire again and then moved into a locked area of the map.. Hah! that was not intentional. Ive done that before, rocket hopping.

I try to make a run for the switch but miss my jump. Finding myself having to take on the robot until I win. I finish off the robot at close range and it throws me across the map. If I did not have all that health it would have probably killed me. This level is one I find myself playing over and over. There are a few others like that. And eventhough the game is over twenty years old I find alot of fun in playing it to this day.
