Food for Thought

Continuing with the mind, now we are looking at what we eat and how it affects our thoughts which in turn affect our emotions. Alchemists will tell you that everything you put into your body will change your chemistry.

They might be subtle changes or extreme changes like when you drink alcohol or take drugs. Even something like sugar will have major impacts and you notice that with children. When kids have excess sugar you will see just how their mood change.

Start to have awareness around the food you eat and what you drink. If you take medication or supplements see if you notice any changes in your thoughts. If your emotions have changed they are most likely due to the thoughts you are having. These thoughts could have been triggered by what you have just eaten or drunk.

Take the time to write this down so that you can refer the next time you have time. If you are in a rush you can always record your findings on your phone or take a very quick note that will remind you of the circumstance.

Remember to be kind to yourself and not judge your thoughts. You are merely experiencing your mind and opening your awareness.
