If you've read my previous articles, you now know that I've been a Steemit user for two years, so I've had time to get to know the system well, especially the voting system.
Today I'm joining Publish0x, and I'm now able to compare the two systems, and the least that can be said is that the two systems are radically opposed. Let's start with Steemit:
Steemit's voting system
- Each article can only be voted on once.
- The value of the vote depends on the Steem Power of the person voting. So a beginner has a voting value of 0.
- You can vote as long as your voting mana is not at 0. Each vote decreases your voting mana. The higher the vote value is, the more it decreases your voting mana. The voting mana recharges 20% in 24 hours.
- The votes are nominative: the author can see who voted for him, and return the vote. This often leads to a circle of friends voting among themselves.
- It is possible to vote for your own articles.
- Voting and liking are the same thing.
- When writing the article, you have to determine what will become of your earnings: either everything is placed in Steem Power to increase your
- voting power, or half is placed in Steem Power and the rest is attributed to the author.
- 50% of the winnings go to the voters, the rest goes to the author.
- The earnings are paid 7 days after the publication of the article.
- After payment, it is useless to vote for an article, it will bring nothing to the author.
- The Steem Power gains are immobilized. They must be unlocked on request and complete unlocking takes 13 weeks, at a rate of 1/13 each week.
Now the Publish0x system
- You can vote several times for an article.
- Everyone has the same voting value.
- You can vote 6 times, with a minimum of 10 minutes between each vote.
- The voters determine the share that goes to the author and the share that goes to them, from 80/20 to 100% for the author.
- Votes are anonymous.
- It is impossible to vote for your own articles.
- Tip and like are two different actions.
- All the earnings indicated on the article go to the author.
- The earnings are immediately available.
- An article can receive tips indefinitely.
Conclusion
So here we have two radically different systems, but we can see that the Publish0x system is, in my opinion at least, fairer, more equitable.
