In the early days of any new market you will see one or two leaders completely dominate that particular space. This is mostly due to them being first to arrive and there not being much of a user base or clientele to service. As time passes, awareness grows, as does the demand and likewise the competition. This is what we have seen taking place with Ethereum over the last few years. The rise and fall of one Ethereum killer after the next! 

For the most part, despite all of Ethereum's current challenges, many have realized that ETH will always have the upper hand. For one, the market cap is light years ahead of any competitor and the community and devs are aggressively committed. Projects that realized this early on took on the approach of interoperability and in so doing put themselves in the next best position.

Cosmos is one such project and along with Polkadot, have secured their spots to dominate in the sector born out of need. If you are meeting a need in the marketplace then you are almost surely going to succeed, especially if nobody else is doing it.

Maximalists of any kind often miss out on innovation because they see only one battle for success. In reality, there are numerous avenues in Crypto today and their will be more tomorrow. The market is growing and maturing, which is by default creating opportunity for the alert.

Ethereum Shares DeFi & NFT's With The Broader Market

We are all very aware of how the DeFi craze exposed the cracks in Ethereum and how market participants like Tron seized the opportunity to gain a piece of the pie. This is exactly how markets are born and develop! TRX has gained a lot traction due to ETH not having the guns to face the battle but that does not mean that Ethereum will be dethroned.

I myself hold Ethereum but chose not to utilize ETH contracts over this time. I mostly use TRX and will most likely continue doing so as I wait for Ethereum to rise above the current challenges.

So what will you do to position yourself in this market? In my opinion, the market has already shown us how this is going to play out. ETH has the majority vote, projects such as TRX and EOS will continue to grow as they pick up the slack and DOT and ATOM will service the ecosystem with interoperability.

Projects need to stop trying to win a race that ETH has already won, it's time to move on and innovate.
