Running

Running is and will always be my favourite workout.

I started running in 2002. But I was too immature at that time so I did not take it seriously. Then back in 2007 when I was in the US. Again, I was not that mature enough at that time to be consistent about it. In September 2009, I notice I gained too much weight because of my sedentary lifestyle. I decided I start doing something like running and mat pilates. I started running 600metres everyday. After a week, I'd run about 1km everyday until I got so used to to it and felt so much better after each  run. Then I slowly started doing 3kms, 5kms, 10kms every single day until I found myself running a marathon in 2012. 

The benefits I got from running aside from losing weight are;

1. I have met amazing people from the running community in the Philippines

2. It is a form of meditation for me. I prefer running alone without music as running is my 'me time'.

3. I sleep better.

4. So much good vibes and positivity

5. Cleared my mind.

6. It is the most economical workout as you don't need any equipment. 

7. Cheapest therapy for those who are feeling low.
