31st in January

The last day of January 2021. Sunday without sun yet with loads of fresh snow. Fifteen centimeters have fallen over the night.

After breakfast, we went up to the mountains to have some family fun in the snow. I jumped out of the car several kilometers up the road to run for 13 kilometers. I needed that much to reach the monthly goal of 248 kilometers or eight daily.

This was my playground.

This was my path. The road was covered with five centimeters of fresh snow, which was left on it when the plow passed by.

While running up the road I was approaching the church of Sv. Duh (St. Spirit). With every turn, it was closer and closer ...

Four kilometers later, Logarska Valley came in view.

Mount Raduha in the clouds.

That much snow has fallen over the night.

I don running gaiters over the Inov-8 Roclite 350 shoes.

13.8 kilometers with around 200 meters of climb. Nice and steady run all the way on the snow-covered road. It was slippery at places yet nothing too difficult. It was fun and enough to reach the monthly goal.

Running Adventures of a Streak Runner
Running Adventures of a Streak Runner

What is a 'streak runner', you might ask? It is a person who runs every day. In my case, two miles is a minimum. I've been doing this stunt for 502 days already, since July the 3rd 2019. On that fine day, I decided it's better to run every day and be happy than to run occasionally and be grumpy. YOu are welcome to follow me and my runs. Every day if you wish :)
