...not the Camera or film company.
3; You own a typewriter, write a story, the Rights belong to YOU, not the maker of the typewriter or the paper maker, or the typewriter ribbon manufacturer.
4; You use a word processor program, you write a story, the Rights belong to YOU, not the software developer, not the maker of your computer or it's Operating System.
5; You print it off...the Rights belong to YOU, not the maker of the printer or the paer or the ink.

In AI Art, the Generator you employ comes with some hooked, barbed tentacles.
You select a generator, either paid or free-to-use...the owner of that Generator has the Rights to whatever YOU create.
You hold NO Rights to your AI Art whatsoever.
You need to beg, scrape and ingratiate yourself for Permission to sell your artworks, or even display them publicly.
Now, maybe some of the people building Generators are open-handed, others will demand they be allowed to review and assess your works before they deign to give you their oh-so-gracious blessings.
They can also charge you fees for such evaluations, and will.
They can also retract that permission (if given) at any time, demand you turn over any and all monies gained from sales of the art which they can legally enforce collection of, and demand you no longer display the art publicly.
You have no options but to be a good monkey and OBEY.
THEY have the Rights to the art, Not You.

The United States Patent Office says;

Then again, what else can you expect from a country going backwards and brainless at warp-speed??
The United States Patent Office is NOT the Berne International Copyright Convention, who needs to address this issue and bring AI Art fully under Creator Copyright Protection in-line with the above Historical Precedents.
So, this all nicely falls in line with the 'Modern Think' of;
'The average person has no value and is just an 'eater' to be ignored, un-valued, and extra-ignored while stripped of their rights'.
