March Situation Report

March Situation Report

Overall, this was a pretty good month, March 2021 was definitely better than March 2020 for me! I signed a new client, got my first shot of COVID vaccine and got relatively good news on a personal level. On top of that, I was pretty active on all my networks, so let's break it down.

Publish0x: Again, I'm satisfied with my month here. I wrote 15 articles (2 more than last month, one every other day) and got 28 new followers, passing the symbolic 200 milestone. I earned about $8 which is not much but it's still something. More importantly, I enjoyed writing so much, and I've been enjoying it more and more, so I'm definitely going to keep this pace going as long as I can, and even pick it up if I find the time to keep writing more. I also finally decided on what to do with my earnings: keep them here until something new arrives on P0x. ETH fees are way too high to do anything interesting with a handful of AMPL or FARM tokens anyway, so might as well keep everything here for now and save a lot in fees (for both me and P0x). When P0x introduces a new token, they will probably remove an existing one, as usual, and convert the earnings into another token. That's when I'll decide what to do: if I care about the one being removed more than the one staying, I'll withdraw it. If I care more about the one remaining then great, I'll have a lot more of it after the conversion. Until then, I'll just keep earning and hodling.

Buy Me A Coffee: I created a Buy Me A Coffee page this month, after a lot of thinking (as I explained in this post), and even though it did not bring me anything yet, it's good to know that this option is out there. If you don't know what BMC is, it's a platform allowing people to support you by tipping you the amount they want whenever they want, and allowing you to share basically anything you want with your community. I haven't posted much on there, but I did add a basic printable savings tracker that I created as a downloadable digital product, so feel free to check it out if it interests you! I'll probably add more digital products and specific posts on there as time goes by, but I haven't had that much time to focus on this page yet.

Stock footage: I hadn't uploaded any new content in February, so I wanted to fix this in March. I cleaned up my hard drives and SD cards, and this resulted in the upload of 26 new photos on my 3 platforms: ShutterstockGetty Images/iStock and Adobe Stock. I also went out more to take pictures, with spring usually comes new colors and wildlife, so it's a perfect playground for a budding wildlife photographer such as myself. Unfortunately I haven't sold anything in a while, but I know I just need to keep uploading more and more content, both photos and videos.

Youtube: 6 months after my last upload, I posted 3 videos on my Youtube channel this month, which felt pretty good! Even though it's not earning me anything, I definitely want to keep creating more entertaining content to post there and continue growing that following cause I'm having fun with this channel.

Brave: Yet again, about 6 BAT earned by using Brave on both my desktop and my phone, I guess this will probably be my regular monthly earnings from my regular usage of the browser. I decided to change my strategy though. Until recently, I converted all of my BAT to DAI in Uphold, in the hopes of seeing the ETH transaction fees get lower. Since I now believe it's not happening anytime soon, at least for such small amounts, I converted everything to BTC in the meantime. BAT has been doing really good so I may keep them as is for a little bit, but I'll probably convert it to BTC at some point to just grow this part of my portfolio.

Earn programs: I received about $50 worth of tokens (1INCH, GRT and CKB) from CoinMarketCap Earn, that I converted to BNB and sent to NEXO to earn interests on, and $6 worth of tokens (NU and NMR) from Coinbase Earn that I converted to XTZ and sent to my Exodus wallet where I'm staking the rest of my XTZ. It's definitely worth it to keep an eye on the new opportunities of these earn programs, especially the one on CoinMarketCap, I really did not expect it to pay so well! Please note that you will need a Binance account to participate and receive the tokens though, I created mine only for this, and I'm glad I did since I already made 50 dollars in barely a month!

Interests: Since NEXO launched their mixed earning programs, introducing fixed and flex terms, I put basically everything I have in fixed terms wallets and I chose to receive interest in NEXO tokens, to get the highest percentages possible. The NEXO token keeps rising in value, more tokens mean higher rewards, more tokens mean more dividends received, and I joined the credit card waitlist, so it just makes sense to me to stack up on NEXO tokens at the moment. Once I get an amount I'm satisfied of, I'll go back to earning in assets to keep growing my portfolio. I'm about to reach the Silver Loyalty Level (1% of my portfolio in NEXO tokens, giving me a 0.25% APY raise) just by earning interests, I never invested any money directly in the token, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Finally, this month, two big things have been on my mind: rebranding myself and figuring out a good investing strategy. I'll post separate articles on these two matters because there's a lot to say, but here's basically what my thinking has been about:

Rebranding: As I stated in a previous article, I write about a lot of different topics here. And it's the same thing on Youtube, Twitter, Instagram... I create a lot of very varied content, and I feel like I'm everywhere and nowhere at the same time since it's almost impossible to build a consistent following with this "strategy" (the strategy being not having any strategy). Should I stick to only one type of content? Should I create 10 different accounts on each platform? Should I not care and just keep doing my thing?

Investing: As of today, my investment portfolio is basically 100% crypto, and most of it comes from earnings and not actual investing. At the end of each month, whatever is unused is moved to various savings account in regular banks, but my plan for this year is to diversify way more. To do so, I plan on investing in the stock market and real estate, but I want to do it smartly relative to my current situation, and that's what I need to figure out.

I need to do a lot of brainstorming, of figuring out what I like doing, what works, what I can offer, what I can afford, what I need to learn, what I need to do, what I can do, what I should stop doing, etc. There's definitely a lot of possible outcomes and it's exciting to try to figure all of that out!

Again, any advice or feedback is most appreciated, and thank you for your support!

Talk to you soon!
