Good day fellow Cointipliers!
You want to earn thousands of coins on Cointiply, you find surveys boring and uncertain, and like playing games? With Playtime, the new Cointiply feature for Android mobile phones, your wish has been granted!
Exclusively available for Android-powered systems (unfortunately for iPhone users, and desktop platforms) Playtime has been released a couple weeks ago. At first, I was not not sure how it would work and was hesitant to install more/new games on my phone. In addition, I was not yet convinced of the proposition value of Playtime. I, naively, thought that Playtime would be similar to the offers than you can see on the "Feature Offers" on the Cointiply front page:
These are two good examples of King of Avalon: Dragon War. You need to install, play the game and reach Stronghold Level 17 to receive 204,000 coins. Sure 204k coins is a hefty stack of coins but reaching Stronghold Level 17 is not small feat and requires many, many, hours of play (I confirmed this even more now that I played the game via Playtime). According to most accounts, it would take anywhere from 10 to 20 hours of laser-focused play, maybe even making a small in-game purchase, to get the reward. Even if you can complete this offer in 10 hours, I still have a better reward rate completing surveys.
Then a few days ago a Cointiply user mentioned in the Chat that he tried Playtime and made 200,000 coins in 2 days(!). 200k coins in 2 days? Really? Before calling this "bluff" I had to give it a try and see for myself. What a breakthrough that was!
What Is Playtime?
The concept behind Playtime is very simple, the reward is astonishingly high (compared to other offers and surveys). The catch is that it's only short-lived.
Playtime proposes you to install and play a selection of games and for every minute (or longer block of time afterward) you spend in the game you get a reward. Below you can see that I have already installed and started playing King of Avalon. Guns of Glory is the best (in terms of reward) next game available. Guns of Glory starting pay rate is 1k coins for the first minute played. Let's pause here for a second - 1,000 coins for 1 minute. Depending on the survey, this is 2-5x better than the average payout of the survey I usually complete.
For reference, King of Avalon was the best game to start with when I jumped in. Its pay rate started 3.9k coins for the first minute!! As you play, spend time in the game and get your first coins, the rate evolves however.
This is a smart payout system design - "the longer you play the more Coins you earn!". This is kind of true, for King of Avalon, the next pay was 4.1k coins for 2 minutes of play. Now you see where this is going. While you reward increases, you actually need to spend more time in the game. The pay rate actually decreases. In the picture above, I needed to play 8 minutes to earn 5k coins. This was still a great deal compared to the gold standard of earnings that are surveys. A little bit later, the pay rate dropped to 6k coins for 11 minutes, then after more play 7k coins for 20 mins.
I'm currently on 9k coins for 2 hours of play. While the coin reward increases, the time needed in game also increases, just much faster. From 3.9k coins per minute (or from 1k coins per minute for most other games), the reward rate rapidly decreases. So is it really worth it? A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y!
[EDIT 04/27/2021] After earning 9k coins for ~8 hours of play, there was no other milestone available with KoA. I'm assuming each game has a limit, probably a reward limit.
[EDIT 06/20/2021] The 8 hours block appears to be the last one. I completed this block with another game and the game disappeared from the Playtime list.
Playtime Is A Gold Mine
Yes Playtime is definitely a great coin maker, the greatest of all maybe. The coins keep dropping, and you see them while you play, +4601 coins here.
Her are my gains for my first 30 minutes playing King of Avalon: +35.6k coins! This is higher than any survey sessions I have ever done. Surprisingly, this pay rate is much better than trying to reach Stronghold level 17 for 204k coins.
After my first 24h of Playtime, mainly on King of Avalon, I had earned an outstanding 141k coins. Yes that user in Chat was spot on, 200k coins in 48h is easily feasible. I'll expand on that just below but the trick is that you don't really have to play to earn, you just need to have the game running...
Even if there are a lot of games currently available, none have the payout of King of Avalon. Most games start at or below 1k coins for the first minute. So as incredible as Playtime is, it is a massive but short-lived infusion of coins to your Cointiply account. But free money is free money, and it was nice to take a break from surveys for a couple days while making 3x more.
Knowing now how Playtime works, there are a few things that can be done to optimize even more your gains...
Optimizing Your Playtime
The initial payout rate of any of the games offered through Playtime is far greater than the average gain completing surveys. My average gain completing surveys is in the neighborhood of 500 coins per minute. Any Playtime payout above that rate is worth prioritizing.
Idling Earns You Coins
Interestingly, you don't need to be actively playing to have the minutes counted toward the coin reward! As soon as you open a game through Playtime, the counter starts, making Playtime even more appealing.
I usually spend the first 30 minutes playing the games, just as distraction and to change from surveys. The payout is very good during the first minutes. At 500 coins or more per minute, Playtime pays better than completing surveys, with the added bonus that you know what you are going to make, you don't have wonder if you will qualify for the reward, and it's more entertaining.
However as time passes, the pay rate gets worse and very quickly you'll fall under 500 coins per minute. You'll soon reach a pay rate of 1k coins per 10 minutes or worse, at which point completing surveys is a better use of your time. But the good news is that you don't actually have to play to get the reward. Just leaving you phone idle with the game open is enough - the perfect task to "do" while working, or sleeping. The minutes are counted and you'll get the coin reward. I Tried it with Guns of Glory, I left the game untouched from the initial screen. Sure enough, I made my 10k coins over the first 20 minutes.
The possibility to earn coins without being present is really great. In a way, it becomes like turning on Hideout.tv videos. At best, the pay rate of Hideout.tv is ~1.5k coins per hour. So I'll be OK idle play Playtime games until the pay rate drops to 1-2k coins per hour.
Your Time Can Be Fragmented
This is also great, you don't need to play (or have the game on) for the whole time block. These 2 hours of King of Avalon needed to earn 9k coins can be divided in as many session as needed, the time will elapse every time I turn the game on.
Not only being to fragment your game time is very helpful but it might turn out very relevant for the next "trick".
Use Consumable Boost Items
Playtime rewards count as offers and it will trigger any item boosts you use, from equippable and consumable items. It's shame that I had missed that when I started playing King of Avalon. As it is the best paying game by far at the moment, I earned over 35k coins in my first 30 minutes. I would have been a perfect time to use my best consumable items.
So if you read these lines and haven't used Playtime just yet, strongly consider the following:
- Block yourself as many hours as possible, up to 4 hours ideally, and fill your consumable item slots before playing.
- Start with the highest paying games available and play 10-15 minutes with it.
- When the pay rate drops significantly, move on to another game with a fresh new pay rate.
- Rinse, repeat.
An alternative down the road with many games started but with less attractive pay rates is to take advantage of the "fragmentated time" possibility. Play each game until you have a few minutes left to next payout. This way you are kind of synchronizing the reward of all your current games. Use consumable items and finish all you sessions to maximize the rewards. With this, in 20-30 minutes you can earn the reward of several games in a row, one after another, and benefit from the earning boost for all games "at once".
I hope that article gives you some perspectives on Playtime and will motivate your to take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity to earn coins with Cointiply. Thanks for reading! Comments and questions are very welcome!
