Ascocoryne sarcoides - the name of the species comes from the Greek sarkod (meaty). Commonly called jelly drops or purple jelly, this common mushroom appears as a gelatinous mass of pinkish or purple discs. Widespread widely in North America, Europe and Asia. Inedible mushroom.
