Hello everyone hope we are all well.

I just basically want to have a bit of a rant about Corona virus restrictions.

So in a recent article I said that British government has made groups of more than 6 illegal to reduce the spread of Corona virus. 6 is a interesting number to me as I haven't seen any data to show that a group of 6 in the pub are safe but 7 deserve all to be fined even though a pub can be completely full  as long as everyone is in a group of 6. But today's post isn't specifically about that law.

Many people in the UK are in university or will be going soon and most will move into halls. Most halls are 5 people living together. And we all know what university is like a lot of people wanna meet people and have fun but we won't be able to don anything due to the restrictions which is making it stressful.  My issue is that most people in university are young and healthy very little young and healthy people are dying of covid and as we are all in university it's almost like a large bubble and no matter the restrictions covid will probably spread through campuses. University students will always find a way to do something especially on the 1st week and I've seen evidence of this my citys university has opened up halls and almost every flat building is having party's and I know this because my mates all went to them. So what's the point in forcing people and making university employees risk catching it to stop party's because people going to party's have almost accepted the risk of catching it.

I know this was a bit of a boring rant and possibly selfish but since march me and my family have stayed inside most of the time I've rarely seen any friends which is a large damage to all of my family's mental health and now I will be moving out so I won't be putting my family at risk as I won't be living there. Many of us have sacrificed our mental health and employment to reduce the spread at the peak of covid and as it declined surely at some point we need to go back.

Sorry for the rant if you disagree please do tell me I'm being selfish but I have sacrificed a lot for a virus that isn't doing much really
