Hello, it's me, cryptosaso with another interesting article.
Today we will talk about brave browsers and DRM content (those that are run by spotify, netflix, etc.). Well, if you have just installed brave browsers (for those who have not yet done so, the link is HERE) and try to open spotify, a message will appear asking you to activate a setting such as "activate quality content" or a something like that. And this drove me crazy for days, as there was no feasible solution. Searching the settings menu, I found myself a world of options and I simply did not find the right one to make a streaming music player go as it should.
The solution, I found it without resorting to google, as I remembered a warning that brave had made me see the first times I used it on another computer. In fact, it required me to use a component called Widevine, which is "the component" that makes platforms like spotify, netflix, disney +, etc. go.
Recommended: Save ram when installing Brave Browser | Trading with Uphold | Pipeflare token: I don't make any moves until it reach 1$.
Among the settings you will find it in the item Settings> How to start> Extensions precisely at the item:
Widevine Ask when a site wants to install Widevine on your computer.
Once the option is activated, if you reload the spotify page for example, it will ask you to install or use a component. After accepting and reloading the page, you can enjoy all the DRM content you want. For further information:
