Financial Goals 2021

leofinance.png

In case you haven't noticed, more and more Hivers are stepping up to the challenge and taking part in this initiative sponsored by @theycallmedan and @leofinance. Everybody makes financial plans, and so this is a good opportunity to exchange information and ideas, and also to spread the word about Hive and Leo on Twitter in the process.

2020 was a tough year for everyone. Many had terrible financial problems that may persist for the next few months or even years, so having a solid financial strategy to live by is now more important than ever before. We already know, as governments have already started speaking publicly about it, that there is a global tendency to gradually eliminate the use of physical money, mostly in the name of safety.

I will not go into the details nor express my opinion and concerns, but I would like to point out that this specific part of their agenda is extremely bullish for the crypto sphere. This financial ecosystem will soon become the only safe haven capable of providing the freedom we all desire. After all, we are heading towards a future with mandatory banker commissions for all transactions.

Anyway, let's get to it.

@theycallmedan presented the following questions as listed below:

  • Which is going to be your investment strategy for 2021?
  • Do you have any specific assets that you want to invest in?
  • Preferred Investment? Crypto, Real State, Commodities, Stocks?
  • Do you have a plan or a set of goals on how to use and grow your stake?

Which is going to be your investment strategy for 2021?

Get them and forget them. My professional life and financial situation has improved a lot during the last 8 months, and therefore I am now in a position to keep stacking and staking all my favourite cryptocurrencies without having to sell in order to cover bills, life expenses etc. I'd love to explore additional opportunities, and had it not been for the Covid19 outbreak and the extreme financial implications that followed, I would have already started pushing delicious Greek junk food in the streets of some beautiful European cities I have visited that need it the most.

I will probably elaborate on this in a future post, but for now it has to be kept secret. Thankfully me and my two buddies working on this project didn't hurry, which would have been catastrophic given the ongoing lockdowns in Europe. Let's hope we will be able to get started by September. For now, I will keep stacking BTC as I have been doing since the beginning of my crypto journey. I will also try to build up my Hive and Leo stakes, and probably throw some BTC fragments into those two projects down the road.

Do you have any specific assets that you want to invest in?

I am going to start collecting precious metals this year, as I currently do not own any. Precious metals like silver and gold are a safe bet if you ask me, as they have always kept pace with inflation and will probably continue to do so. They also have a limited supply and limitless industrial and technological applications, so they are only going up as the years go by. Period. Especially considering that our lives will remain dependent on smartphones, computers and satellites.

Preferred Investment? Crypto, Real State, Commodities, Stocks?

Cryptocurrencies, and BTC in particular is my preferred investment these days. The powers that be dream of a cashless society, and BTC has a limited supply. No matter how much better your favourite alt is in terms of technology, it will need more than a century to dethrone BTC in my humble opinion. Mass adoption would mean millions of people flocking into the crypto world, not knowing anything at all about the technical details and thinking all cryptocurrencies are ''bitcoins''. I can't blame them.

Do you have a plan or a set of goals on how to use and grow your stake?

I will try to raise my productivity levels and remain active, contributing valuable content regarding my professional experience and engineering knowledge, and maybe sharing a few glimpses in regard to my investment and trading activities. As for my BTC stake, I must admit that I am tempted to move it to some cool online places in order to start earning interest daily, but I do realize it's a risk, and probably one I am not willing to take. Would appreciate any tips.

Bonus: Share your prediction for the price of Hive and LEO in 2021.

I really don't like making predictions as I believe there is no such thing in the crypto sphere. The whole ecosystem is extremely unpredictable, and considering the pace at which the world is currently changing, one can assume that everything is possible. I do believe we need a lot more exposure and patience though, and would be happy to see Hive sitting at around $0.25-$0.35 in 2021. Is it possible? Of course it is.

Leo seems to be performing much better for the time being, and I think it's all thanks to the awesome efforts made by the entire team working behind this project tirelessly. This is truly a blessing for Hive as well, and I believe everyone around here is happy to witness it break one record after another. I would be happy to see Leo sitting at around $0.60-$0.85 in 2021. Is it possible? Of course it is.

Thank you for your attention.

Just my two cents. This is by no means financial advice. Just sharing my personal views and experiences. Please do not take my word for your investment choices, and always do your own research.

Stay safe and have a good one,
@lordneroo
