kuCoin Basics, part 1: accounts

kuCoin Basics, part 1: accounts

Hey mates!

All of us know that Publish0x has new agreement with kuCoin exchange to withdraws the ETH and AMPL tokens with better conditions. But maybe you have never used kuCoin because you don't have an account up to now. So I'm going to try to explain the basics to start with kuCoin in several articles. This is the first one: accounts

Accounts

When you arrive to kuCoin the first thing that you see are the accounts... and you will say... w..t..f is that!!! A lot of accounts... for what? You are used to see a list of tokens with the amounts, but this is a little bit different. Let's go to explain it in a little detail:

accounts

- Main Account: this is the place where your tokens are collected. In this part, you can receive and transfer your tokens as you can do it in another exchange. This section is working as a pocket. Your tokens are listed here, but you can't do trading with them.

mainAccount

Transfer from the main account to the trading account to have funds to do trading

- Trading Account: this is the place where your tokens are collected to do exchange trading. To have tokens here you have to transfer them from the main account. Here you can do exchange trading or transfer funds to the main account.

trading

Transfer funds from the trading account to the main account if you are not going to do more trading with the select token.

- Margin Account: this is the place where your tokens are collected to do margin trading. To have tokens here you have to transfer them from the main account. Here you can do exchange trading or transfer funds to the main account.

Transfer funds from the margin account to the main account if you are not going to do more trading with the select token.

- Pool-x Account: this is the place where your tokens are collected to do stake trading. To have tokens here you have to transfer them from the main account. Here you can do stake trading or transfer funds to the main account.

Final thoughts

To sum up... the tricky part is you have to understand that every "account" is a pocket, and you have to move the funds between the pockets to do what you need. For instance:

- First of all, send funds to your main account using the deposit section in the main account

- From the main account, select the token that you want to do exchange trade and transfer it to the trading account. From the trading account, you can go to the trade section and exchange the tokens. Once you have done with the exchange trading you leave the funds in this account or move them to the other accounts.

- From the main account, select the token that you want to do margin trade and transfer it to the margin account. From the margin account, you can go to the margin section and apply the margin to the tokens. Once you have done with the margin trading you leave the funds in this account or move them to the other accounts.

And that's all for now. I'll keep on writing new posts with the remaining sections. But for now, these basics are enough.
