As per today's announcement from Coinbase the exchange has confirmed the support of Spark Airdrop for XRP holders and informed its users with short details about the upcoming snapshot with further announcements expected as to more precise details, especially in terms of confirming if any jurisdiction will not be supported.

• The upcoming snapshot of Coinbase XRP holders will be taken exactly or just slightly after 00:00 UTC on 12th of December 2020, with that deposits and withdrawals will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the snapshot.

  • Trading of XRP is not planned to be affected during the snapshot

• To qualify you simply need to hold your XRP in Coinbase Pro or Coinbase account during the time of snapshot, with the distribution expected at some point during first half of 2021.

• Further announcements are expected to provide details for the distribution and especially clarify that Spark Tokens will be listed in some jurisdictions which are under higher regulatory scrutiny such as the United States, with the listings and distribution expected to roll out jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction.

  • The current list of licensed US jurisdictions can be found over at Coinbase legal section, with only the licensed  states currently expected to be covered in terms of the distribution.
