For further reading music we present TLDR: in the eighties before cell phones and quality email bike messengers ruled the world!! Our housemate was full time & took us riding with them. On the manhattan bridge on the roadway, not the side path, through the traffic like nutters "watch my line!" This 2004 video flashes us back to those heady times. We sawed two inches off our handlebars to jam thru traffic!! Our cannondale mountain bike (not us) did the interborough race ( what a white boy thing to say ah ha ha ha) with leather & chrome wristguards on the frame!! Next step was a fixy, a fixed wheel no brakes setup!! try not to touch those buses tho so dangerous. & rarely into hitching on a car ya don't know.
One famous analyst we vaguely worked with got famously kneecapped by a bike messenger's pedal! but no one cared as he was SUCH a (#$&($#&!!!
we always felt safer on a motorbike. E.g. one of our dimples is from getting doored on the cannondale! & then walking out of the emergency room!! & having to buy a new front wheel brake lever etc etc..
The boys showed us how to maintain speed coming down the Brooklyn bridge and then hit a big jump coming off onto the roadway!! On a borrowed big bike for some reason, hit that jump fast and hard! Got BIG air!! Got a little bit sideways in the air! Barely stayed up on the landing, skidding the rear wheel!! It scared / freaked us out!! Just about puked But then we heard a nice round of applause from some random pedestrians ah HA HA HA HA why it's JUST LIKE WRITING FOR THE PUB0X!!!!! ar ar ar arooo00000!!!!
