Cryptofans, we love you. And Atomic Wallet. Earlier this week, we whined that the history function in Atomic was not smooth - it showed zero AWC coming in originally, and zero being paid in interest for staking. Well, an amazing thing happened. The Atomic people must have heard me, and then went back in time to fix this bug. Because when we restarted after upgrading, the history function was spot on.
Look at those beauties. That's got to be like ten cents, coming in every week. Is this too good to be true ? time will tell baby. Probably, very possibly. Of course any team could freely give 20% staking interest if the token goes down 20%.
But in any case, Atomic does win points with us for fixing that nit. Then again, oddly looking at that screenshot, this week's buy of AWC did not show up. Notice how the history shows 40 + 15 + change adding up to the pictured total of 80 plus change. OK, NOT spot on. Still, incremental improvement. A low speed of events showing up cause panic throughout the entire DeFI world, not just Atomic, so not too fair of a criticism maybe - but it has been two days?
Maybe we should just be happy with Atomic / ETH, and give up on RUNE / BNB. Ahh, but hell, that's no fun. Diversity is the keyword of altcoin prospecting.
Any chance of anywhere other than BINANCE to score some $RUNE thorchain coins ? Probably not, very sad. OK let's get our face ripped off team, let's roll!
Sending bitcoin to a spanking new Binance account. Shooting for $50 USD bucks, coinbase promptly says $50.72 worth of the precious Bcoin has been spirited away. Thanks to the magic of the interweb, $49.67 has just appeared in my Binance account. Hmm, must be the exchange rate. Pretty fast though. OK we jump into trading RUNE on Binance. Try to buy the max for my bitcoin. Binance says no, we try to adjust it and bam we are done for 70 RUNEs, and still have .001 bitcoins left over, oooops oh well.
So we run fleeing from the exchange, right ? we try to withdraw from Binance. Pow, an additional level of KYC "safety" kicks in. We have to give up a phone number. OK, whatever. We dial up RUNE in Atomic Wallet, copy the deposit code, paste it in and race the clock to get both a text SMS and an email code in from and back to Binance. It doesn't work, refuses to validate Atomic at first, finally says "too many tries." We send the BTC change back no problem. Finally the RUNE says it goes through from the Binance side. Nothing happening from Atomic, wait YES there it is !
So we started out with $50.75, and have returned with $37.03 worth of Rune coin and .00063 bitcoin valued at seven bucks back into Atomic. Our intense trading and investing prowess has started us out turning 51 bucks into 44 bucks, a hit of a little over ten percent on transactions, transport and exchange rates, ow. Atomic wallet looks much more excellent with our efforts earlier this week, turning ~50 bucks into ~47 bucks of stashed and staked Atomic Wallet Coins.
But now, on to the main attraction, staking them RUNEs boys n girls !!
AND we can't figure out how to link the old RUNE vault up to the Atomic wallet from the desktop mac os. looks like the old wallet connect feature is hidden up in the phone version of Atomic wallet. Which we don't have. Yep, there it is, from the atomic help pages:
Well, when we click on the sign of settings on our stinky laptop mac selves, no such option. There it is on the phone tho. Hope it is still there after the latest rain of fire from Apple striking down on DEX apps like Trust Wallet. Hmm when you see those long skinny screenshots you know we are SOL on our desktops.
OK on to Runevault tomorrow. After replicating my Atomic wallet on my phone. It's all easy when you know how.
Love,
Dave
