My weight loss journey: week 2

Another week has come and gone so it's time for me to do a little follow up on my monthly goals.

My first goal was to add 0 chocolate to my shopping cart. As I said last week this wasn't as hard as I expected, mainly because I had a lot of chocolate at home. Well, I'm proud to say I still have it. This means I haven't been eating it. I think maybe a day this week I ate something with chocolate but that was it. Even when I feel like I want to eat it, I still don't feel like doing it. Of course my goal of not buying chocolate is part of the longer term goal of keeping it almost completely out of my diet but I didn't expect it to happen this fast. I'm not going to cry victory so soon so I'll count it for what it is: a little victory for this second week. Specially since it's been quite an anxiety ridden one.

On the other hand I haven't achieved to do my exercising routine daily this week. I'm trying to change my schedule as cold weather is settling in and my current schedule is just not cut for it. The thing about this change is that this schedule was quite hard to make and I made sure that it would work for me. I've never lived in a place this cold before so I overlooked that. I'll jut keep trying. I did achieve to keep active, though, as my step count has risen. My laziest day counted at 6500 (my previous average) and my most active was yesterday, at 15000 which is a lot and I don't plan to replicate or make a norm right now, but I went hunting for a book and it seems to have worked out well for me. Holidays shopping for the win. LOL. Anyways, My average is slowly moving towards 8000 daily steps so that's a nice improvement.

Lastly, I think my water consumption has decreased a little, which is not bad in itself as I'm still doing a conscious effort to drink at least when I'm thirsty. Or it could be that my body is getting used to be properly hydrated and is now demanding to be kept like this.

All in all, it's been a week of improvements that will add to my new, healthier habits.
