This project came to me other day, while I was enjoying a meal of rice and beans. As I took my last bite, I decided to make a plate as the subject of my next art project.

But what plate should I use? The one I was using was pretty boring, so it would not do. A generic white plate, with a few pieces of rice left on it, just didn’t seem like a fun project.

After messing around on the old laptop, I came up with this digital green looking plate. Then I added a cross hatch design with a polka dotted background.
