Microblogging compared: Leothreads Vs. Waves

Hello everyone Hivers,
Today I want to tell you about a new aspect of Hive that I'm enjoying more and more every day.
I intend to tell you about Microblogging

For some time now on Hive, thanks to the developers of @leofinance, a new way of blogging (and also of earning from blogging, but we'll talk about this later) was born that no one had ever managed to achieve until now.
Perhaps only the old noise.cash had succeeded, but in an unsustainable form, in fact after a few months, the developers had to put a stop to the rewards.

Thanks to LeoThreads instead, this way of blogging seems to work and great too!

But what is microblogging?

Microblogging is nothing more than a Tweet (to talk about a more well-known social network), a short post of a few characters to which you can attach a photo, a gif or a video.
For me, who have always been looking for a web3 social network of this kind, the birth of LeoThreads was shocking and exciting news at the same time.

Why?

I'll explain it to you right away.

Thanks to the possibility of receiving microvotes (as you can also see in some of my threads below), we will be able to have microearnings for every single thread.

What does it mean?

By posting particularly interesting content, we will be able to receive microvotes for each individual content posted, without obviously running the risk of spam.

To give a very stupid and very quick example, 100 threads per day rewarded with $0.01 each, is $1 per day.

It's not much and we're not here to get rich with threads, but I always thought that if they rewarded me with 1 cent for each post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, today I would have no problem paying the mortgage at the end of the month xD

Now, not everyone knows that to date, in addition to the microblogging service of @leofinance, the LeoThreads, that of @ecency, the Waves has also been added

Let's see in detail how both work and see the pros and cons of the two platforms (always keeping in mind that they are both still in the development phase and that even the cons are not intended to be criticisms, but rather more advice for future developments).

LeoThreads

The LeoThreads interface is very similar to that of Twitter. Menu on the left, threads in the center and the most important filters on the right

The very interesting and very useful development thought up by the @leofinance team in my opinion is precisely that of the filters (or hashtags), thanks to which we are able to move among the sea of threads from numerous users.

Another option, which however I find not very useful for how I use threads, is to be able to publish within a specific community, a bit like the community bulletin board.

The only flaws of the @leofinance service in my opinion are that it doesn't have a mobile version and a few too many bugs that sometimes prevent us from publishing a thread.

PROS

• very familiar and simple graphical interface
• possibility to filter topics

AGAINST

• still a few small bugs on loading (I imagine due to the amount of traffic on the servers) and on posting (sometimes it's difficult to publish a thread, so much so that I give up)
• not very user-friendly on mobile (the best thing is to use the browser inside the HiveKeychain app)

Waves

The version of @ecency's microblogging, on the other hand, is much more basic, also because it is younger than LeoThreads.

A simple board where you can scroll through the Waves of all Hive users.
A bit too much stuff for my tastes... I get tired of scrolling after 5/6 Waves, perhaps missing out on many other interesting ones that could be right for me.
In my opinion, at least hashtag-style filtering like on Leofinance is necessary.
Maybe above the posting bar, I would put some filters.

PROS

• ability to publish from the app

AGAINST

• too generic at the moment
• lack of filters

This particular blogging methodology also gives those who are not yet part of Hive the opportunity to enter more easily, because in my opinion it is much simpler and more intuitive than actual blogging.

oggi voglio parlarvi di un nuovo aspetto di Hive che mi sta piacendo ogni giorno di più.
Intendo parlarvi del Microblogging

Da qualche tempo su Hive, grazie agli sviluppatori di @leofinance , è nato un nuovo modo di fare blogging (e anche di guadagnare dal blogging, ma di questo ne parleremo più avanti) a cui nessuno finora era mai riuscito ad arrivare.
Forse soltanto il vecchio noise.cash ci era riuscito, ma in una forma poco sostenibile, infatti dopo qualche mese, gli sviluppatori dovettero mettere un freno alle ricompense.

Grazie ai LeoThreads invece, questo modo di fare blogging sembra funzionare e alla grande anche!

Ma cosa è il microblogging?

Il microblogging non è nient'altro che un Tweet (per parlare di un social più conosciuto), un breve post di pochi caratteri a cui è possibile allegare una foto, una gif o un video.
Per me che ho sempre cercato un social web3 proprio di questo genere, la nascita dei LeoThreads è stata una notizia sconvolgente e allo stesso tempo entusiasmante.

Perchè?

Ve lo spiego subito.

Grazie alla possibilità di ricevere microvoti (come vedete anche in alcuni dei miei threads qui sotto), potremo avere dei microguadagni per ogni singolo thread.

Cosa significa?

Postando contenuti particolarmente interessanti, potremo ricevere microvoti per ogni singolo contenuto postato, senza ovviamente incorrere nel rischio spam.

Per fare un esempio molto stupido e molto veloce, 100 threads al giorno ricompensati con 0.01$ l'uno, fa 1$ al giorno.

Non è molto e non siamo qui per diventare ricchi con i threads, ma ho sempre pensato che se mi avessero ricompensato con 1 centesimo per ogni post su Facebook, Twitter o Instagram, oggi non avrei problemi a pagare il mutuo a fine mese xD

Ora, non tutti sanno che ad oggi, oltre che al servizio di microblogging di @leofinance , i LeoThreads, si è aggiunto anche quello di @ecency , i Waves

Andiamo a vedere nel dettaglio il funzionamento di entrambi e andiamo a vedere i pro e i contro delle due piattaforme (tenendo sempre presente che sono entrambe ancora in fase di sviluppo e che anche i contro non vogliono essere critiche, ma più consigli per sviluppi futuri).

LeoThreads

L'interfaccia dei LeoThreads è molto simile a quella di Twitter. Menu a sinistra, threads nel centro e a destra i filtri più importanti

Lo sviluppo molto interessante e molto utile pensato dal team di @leofinance secondo me è proprio quella dei filtri (o hashtag), grazie alla quale siamo in grado di muoverci tra il mare di threads dai numerosi utenti.

Altra opzione, che però trovo poco utile per come utilizzo io i threads, è quella di poter pubblicare all'interno di una community specifica, un po' come fosse la bacheca della community.

Uniche pecche del servizio di @leofinance secondo me sono quelle di non avere una versione mobile e qualche bug di troppo che a volte ci impedisce proprio di pubblicare un thread.

PRO

• interfaccia grafica molto familiare e semplice
• possibilità di filtrare gli argomenti

CONTRO

• ancora qualche piccolo bug sul caricamento (immagino dovuta alla mole di traffico sui server) e sul posting (alle volte si fa fatica a pubblicare un threads, tant'è che ci rinuncio)
• poco user-friendly su mobile (la cosa migliore è utilizzare il browser interno all'app di HiveKeychain)

Waves

La versione del microblogging di @ecency invece è molto più basica, anche perchè più giovane rispetto ai LeoThreads.

Una semplice bacheca dove si possono scorrere i Waves di tutti gli utenti di Hive.
Un po' troppa roba per i miei gusti...mi stanco a scrollare dopo 5/6 Waves, perdendo magari tanti altri interessanti che potrebbero fare al caso mio.
Secondo me è necessario almeno un filtraggio stile hashtag come su Leofinance.
Magari sopra la barra di posting, metterei dei filtri.

• possibilità di pubblicare da app

CONTRO

• al momento troppo generica
• mancanza di filtri

Questa particolare metodologia di blogging dà la possibilità anche a chi non fa parte ancora di Hive di entrare più facilmente, perchè secondo me molto più semplice ed intuitivo rispetto al blogging vero e proprio.

E voi utilizzate già uno i Leothreads o i Waves?
